Hi gents. I wanted to share this with you all, my first acquisition for this year. Picked in the wild for an outrageous price of $19. It seems to only be missing the brush. I will take and upload some better photos soon.

OUTSTANDING find!!! I have a 1890ish Kampfe. Love the shave. Does that one have the screws to adjust the blade? Mine is missing them I am working on that.

They have small machine screws. I did not think of that. Thanks for the idea. Jeweler and eyeglass repair folks were on my list.

They have small machine screws. Yep both adjustment screws are there. The only thing missing from the whole set is the brush. I’d second the idea of a clock repairer for replacement ones as these will be an odd, old thread?

I read somewhere that someone had used eyeglass screws to fix one. At least I think I did. I will be looking into this soon.

Being brass, even if an eyeglass thread is different, it will cut a new thread and work just fine!

I ran one of the wedge blades over my coticle today, water only, then onto the pasted balsa stropfor 20 laps, then 50 on leather... wow 😲 what’s fantastic, 129 y/o shave! Now I’ll work on getting rid of the devil’s spit on the blade and hone up the rest! Attachments:
