Gentlemen,
I've been noticing that my MM "Bullet Tip" (probably the wrong name, but I'll bet you know which one I mean) seems to be a bit more aggressive than my OCMMs are.
I rarely get a nick on my head when I shave with the OCMM, but the Bullet eats me for lunch. Anyone else notice this?
Also, the Bullet FEELS just a tad heavier. Anyone weigh them?
As always, thanks for your input. SEs rock!!
I'm SO SE (thanks to you guys) that I was going to sell all my DEs but thought I'd just stick them back for the Shaveapocolipse and make a million....grin.

I've not used the Flying Wing (aka Bullet Tip), but it is regularly regarded as the mildest of the micromatics. Perhaps the blade stops are worn and the blade isn't loading as intended. I've had one in the past where the head was a bit warped (I think someone thought it was a flip top and tried to force it open instead of twisting it). Something definitely sounds off in the Flying Wing.

John, My scale only weighs to 5 grams accuracy and all of the MM family weigh the same on it. The balance is different though. I noted that in the review on these pages.
I agree with BrianSS, something must be wrong with it. Or maybe you suffer from the same syndrome I have? If the razor is efficient but doesn't feel aggressive I tend to treat it like a Featherweight. That is, I give it the opportunity to bite me- and they do. Unless I can keep it in mind. Most times I can't, that's why I like aggressive razors that remind me of it every moment.

I always feel that the Bullet tip is heavier but that could be due to the weight being more distributed towards the ends i.e. the tip of the handle. Don't think it shaves more aggressively than a Clog Pruf and definitely not compared to an OCMM. I do find that sometimes the blades, in my case the SS PTFE coated ones, aren't consistently as good as each other. And yes, there is the danger of getting a bit slap happy with it, which you can generally get away with using a Featherweight.

I don't own the flying wing but my clog prof is like a Super Speed compared to my OCMM, that thing is an animal. I love them!

Lot of good advice here.If you rule out anything wrong with your razor and blade then who knows ? But I'm now frequently using a bullet tip for head shaving with outstanding results. My blades are GEM Personna coated stainless steel from my local Walgreens Drug Store.
I find that what works best for me is to hold this razor like a fork towards the top about 2/3 of the way up the handle for good control and balance, the razor's head gives a good clue about proper shaving angle.
Using the bullet tip as I do,my perception is that it's not an aggressive razor compared to it's cousins.
