Razor: Valet Autostrop VC4 Blade: Feather FHS-10 Soap: PAA Sangre De Drago Brush: Maggard 24mm Synthetic A/S: Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel, Clubman Whisky Woods It's been awhile since I used my VC4 and a Feather FHS-10 blade too. Does the job well enough. It's also been awhile since I used PAA's Sangre De Drago. It's a favorite of mine, if your in the mood for a really dark woody scent profile instead of bright citrusy floral cologne scents, it's a good one.

Squat Head 1912 curved top vs flat top. Curved is more aggressive but both supremely efficient. Very nice. I have a squat head, curved top and have to agree, it is suprisingly aggressive for a 1912. Still great though!

Still great though! It's aggressive but I'm not yet convinced it's more efficient than the flat top . I need to do another round .

Much better results with a modified GEM PTFE blade on the models that don't have the blade pin scheme.

I never understood it, the GEM Stainless Steel blade is the Energizer Bunny of SE blades, the last one I had in rotation I got 20 shaves out of it, The Feather Stainless Steel FHS-10 has a self destruct mechanism that kicks in after 2 shaves.

Using good technique and finding the angle with the Schick Hydro Magic Eversharp injector razor is not difficult at all. The weight is fair and there are no control issues. Just felt like saying that for newcomers who never used this razor before. Hope it helps Awesome post!!

Thursday shave This combo eliminated 4 days growth in a hurry! Thanks Fuzzy for the gift . I love it! I have made a note to make sure I use my ER14 on March 24, the anniversary of the ER14's patent. Thanks for the reminder. I will get a thread started soon!!

Saturday I continue my journey with the Valet. This one is a B1 (I think). A little difficulty getting the blade to slide up to the stops, but it lives ok. Not bad for $2. The B1 is a Auto Strop before it was Valet. That one has valet on it so not a B1. There is a valet ID type thread around somewhere.

The B1 is a Auto Strop before it was Valet. That one has valet on it so not a B1. There is a valet ID type thread around somewhere. Thanks, I stand corrected. I believe it is VB1. From the post you mentioned... "Model VB1 (1921-1929?) This was the first model called a “Valet” razor. That’s all that distinguishes it from the Model B1: It said, “Valet/AutoStrop Razor”." I noted that none of the models pictured in that post say "Valet" on the razor, but the underside looked right. The handle must be from an older model because it does not match. A note on this razor. It is VERY head- heavy. Completely different feel from the VC1. It was a little difficult to maneuver, but I ended up with a decent, but not all that pleasant, shave. Left cheek, neck are ok, right cheek (where I started) is a little red and sore😖. What happened to my technique? 🤔🙄
