Look at the gap on this Schick. It is much milder.
Have you measured and compared the blade gap on a G to an E2. I can't find any significant difference with mine. I told Fuzzy a while back on his YouTube channel that my E2 shaves just the same as my G1's. I have only one E2 so I don't have any others to compare it too. I only have one E2 right now, and honestly, I cannot remember how it shaves. I piffed a previous E2 because it was pretty aggressive. The one I have now does not look appreciably different from a G1 either. I would really like to see this E2 in person.

I have a couple of E2's and a E3 that I can not tell difference from a G. The one early model is veddy different. Maybe just luck of the draw that it opens too.

So I've sent this razor off to jayaruh for a look over. So I will be able to put this question to rest. I really appreciate the way that this forum works as a community! Shaving is such a personal activity but we have converted it hobby and developed a kind of fraternity! So much to learn and so much fun 👍

Hello All,
jayaruh has looked at the razor and 1) has discovered that it is actually an E3 which he described as being an aggressive injector razor he.has given it a thouough cleaning and also found that there was a problem with how the blade loaded. I assume he will give us the whole story after he has used it.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of what he finds out.
In my last post I meant to say that " we have converted it into a hobby...". Sorry for the typo 😋.

Evidently, the E3 added the grooves to the guard bar. This one has no grooves, but the spring is definitely fixed. I got it cleaned up, and I will give it a go tomorrow. The original blade seemed to have been damaged which probably lead to bad shaves. I have a new blade in it, so, fingers crossed, we shall see how it goes.

I used the Schick E2b for the first pass today. It is indeed a very aggressive razor. The only thing I can see that looks different is the guard bar that has no grooves. I don't see how that would make that much of a difference, but it reminds me of the times that I have shaved with the Bunny V3 with NO Comb. I got a great shave, but I used the same technique I used with the Bunny. I raised the handle to get a very shallow angle and used a very light touch. It is like shaving with a straight. Since today is the day I set aside for lather catchers, I did the second pass with my Superior lather catcher. I hope to get some comparative pictures, and maybe video tomorrow's shave using the E2b.

Well, I checked out the E2b, and all seems to be right with it. It is just an aggressive razor. Here is my shave today. Two tips: 1. Raise the handle to create a low angle of attack. 2. Use a light touch. I had a great two pass shave. Video below.

Hey All,
So now that jayaruh has kindly taken a look at my E2b and the verdict is of course operator error, I am looking forward to using this razor correctly. I like the Schick E through G injectors and would like to add more to my collection. I also took the opportunity watch jayaruh's video showing the correct technique, I showed the video to my wife and son, and they got a kick out of seeing my razor being use on a YouTube how to video.
Do any of you have recommendations for models info as to which ones are mild and which ones are aggressive. I really would like to get them with their cases any leads would be welcomed I don't feel that comfortable with buying Eversharps from the bay they don't seem to be properly identified and the mechanics can be off.
So let me know what you all think.

Most models are on the mild but effecent side to me. You can get differences in the various models though. I have a very aggressive feeling G8. Most of those are not. The L's are mild to me. Very good shavers though. Any schick head will need a H1..the Hussy...I also love the shave from the H2.The Deb. The Asjustable is also a must have. I get most all of mine from the bay. I even picked up a G1 with the guard bar cut off. Very fun shave!

I believe the one that I started with is a G1 and I think it's a pretty easy shave. Not a real expert on the Schicks though. I got mine off the bay and its a pretty nice razor and didn't pay a whole lot for it I don't think.
