Yes. I used my Enders last night with a really nice Enders Blade. It too was very rough. I previously did a quick hone on the last blade and it worked great. Unfortunately I am no longer in possession of my Warner Jones. I will have to figure out how to hone the blades. I have 8 NOS blades. If I figure something out I will be sure to share it with you. Tom I forgot about my Warner Jones. Maybe there is hope for my blades. Any recommendation on how many laps on what film? Ok. I got home a few hours ago and decided to see what I could do with improving the NOS Ender blades. Mind you this is after a stiff Vodka😳. I started rummaging through my SE Stropping attachments on various razors. Here is what I found Starting with my ER 1909 and ER 1914 with Stropping attachments in the handles. Both of these are the same. They hold the blade fine. The only issue is that it is too shallow of an angle. It tends to stay slightly away from the very edge. This can be corrected with a few layers of electrical tape. Next I tried my Damaskeene stropper. This has more of the correct angle. Only it does not hold the blade. The gap is too loose. I could crimp the holder. I might try that at a later date. Next I found that my Shapleigh has a Stropping attachment and the Shapleigh Blade is close to the correct height of the Enders. This is the hot ticket for me. Once I found this out l, I proceeded to the next step. See my next post.

Soooo on to Stropping. As I was not sure how this would work. I grabbed another of my Unused Enders. I have a strop I made with Crox on it. I gave it 20 or so up and backs. Checking with my magnifier I saw that it smoothed out the edge. I wiped the blade clean and proceeded to my FEROX strop and gave it 10 up and backs l. I cleaned the blade and gave it 20 or so laps on my regular strop. I then went in and gave the blade a test shave. Long story short. This worked out quite well. Mind you I try never to shave when buzzed but I was feeling motivated. A rarity these days. Two pass shave with satisfactory results. I think with a bit more work I can get these Enders blades to work on the better side. Something that I would not hesitate to use on occasion. If I do more I will keep you posted. I encourage you all to do some experiments and report back. Now back to your previously scheduled program. That means another Vodka for me. Cheers

Menthol Monday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Kiss My Face Jayaruh #331 Boar Enders Speed Shaver Enders Speed Blade CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Kiss My Face Shave Cream face lathered very easily with Jayaruh #331 Boar brush and had a very nice minty coolness. The Enders razor loads very easily by pushing the blade in from the back and getting a little click. I did two passes with the Enders Speed Shaver razor with the Enders Speed Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. The Rub gives an immediate freezing coolness followed by a long-lasting coolness. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... This 60+ year old blade was a bit tuggy. I did a belly strop after the shave. I will see how it does tomorrow. I may end up slipping a Schick Proline in on top of it later.

Are you still waiting. I am getting a little impatient. They have arrived. They need experimenting with and tweaking. Not as advertised yet. They are the first prototype. On the positive side - all my measurements were correct, but the pins can't hold on to the blade when inserting it. Either they need to be bigger, my alternative design needs trying out or I'll try supergluing and injector blade to them (If printed in large quantities they'd be only 10 cents each). I'm too busy with work right now to try all those things. Proper updates soon, I hope. What is large quantities? Hope you have some time to resume this project. I'm getting older by the day. HA!

HA! 100 or so. They are 10 cents each anyway, but you pay a one off set-up fee and postage which kills the price per unit if you order five. I will resume the project (I already have plan B), but a) I'm drowning in work - which is a good thing b) There is another 3D printed SE-shaving related thing in the post, which currently excites me more. It's a ... No. Another time.

I did it. I made the video on how to back up a Proline blade with an Enders blade.
