I'm currently lacking time and inspiration. On hold but not forgotten.

I just received an email with an attachment: Now it's up to the postal service . I am hoping that this project will be successful. Any progress?

No progress. The adapters didn't hold the blade securely. I have ideas on how to fix it, but not enough time. Tolerances are so small that I'm not even sure my modified version will work.

I'm anxious too. Have been waiting cuz I have an Enders but no real way to use it. Sure you can. Just get a vintage Enders blade and load it as normal until it clicks. Take a literal or mental picture of the blade exposure so you know the manufacturer-intended exposure. Then remove the Enders blade and blunt it: grind or trim the edge by 1 to 1.5mm (rough estimate). It doesn't have to be pretty because you're not going to see it when loaded. This is effectively your "adapter" that shims behind the modern blade. Then place your modern blade of choice (Proline B-20 fits and is a very nice blade) into the head at the exposure you want. You can go for the manufacturer's target or adjust to taste. Then slide the blunted blade behind it to secure it, taking care you don't move the functional blade in the process. The Enders "adapter" will click into place. This may seem convoluted or more trouble than it's it worth, but when executed once or twice, it shouldn't take any longer than assembling a 3-piece razor. I'm pretty sure jayaruh and others have made a video demonstrating it. I've been very pleased with this method. The only reason I intend to purchase riverrun's adapters is just for novelty, but ultimately, I'm not missing anything by it's absence.

The trick is to have a vintage Enders blade They're easy to come by. They're readily available on eBay, Etsy, etc. You may even find some of us purchased 5 or 10-blade packs just to have the one blade to modify, while the rest are collecting dust/rust and thus have a couple to spare.

I just received 14 NOS Enders Speed blades. They look really good. Not a speck of rust on them. So, I gave one a try in my Enders. Alas! They are as rough as a badger's arse. 😜🤣😂🙃😜

It looks like I never updated this thread to note that I've now acquired the missing piece of my collection, the yellow one. Here are some pics: [/img] I've just recently acquired a second green one. This one is a little brighter and has more yellow swirls. These Bakelite/Catalin handles really respond well to Zaino "Z-5" auto polish (polymer---not wax).
