My Opinion: We classify all ER Shovelhead Razors one of two ways: 1. The orig. as a 1909, and it was manf. til 1915 or 1919, when the second classification... 2. The 1924...Which covers the 2nd incarnation, which started being produced in 1919 but didn't get it's pat'd til 1924...but most of the ones we see didn't get its pat'd til 1925. Thats the one where the handle screws into the head, without a separate neck to connect to the head. My point, we call all of the post 1919 shovelheads 1924's just for simplicity sake. Same with all the 1912 incarnations. We use 1.Damaskeene Or 2.1912 for all others...or GEM 1912...ER 1912 or Star 1912. You get my point... Now..in 1906 Jerry Reichard applied for a patent which was applied April 16th 1907 for a lather catcher. First he released it as a Yankee that used wedge blades. And second he released it as an Ever Ready 1907 that used disposable blades. This ER 1907 and the GEM Jr. Bar ran concurrently. They looked very similar, both had wooden handles at first, but the ER had clips on the side to hold the blade in place and the GEM had the famous hinged bar. Through out the years the ER changed handles and different printing; so we can guestimate the exact year of production; but essentially the razor stayed the same. I read that all the ER lather catchers after 1907 used the same 1907 pat'd til the ER 1914 was pat'd. Please correct me if I am wrong. THEREFORE....All lovers of the ER Lather Catchers!!!! No matter what year your perticular ER LC was actually made...it's still got April 16, 1907 on it's birth certificate! April 16th 1907 Is the BIRTHDAY! I'M USING MINE ALL WEEK TO CELEBRATE ONE OF THE GREATEST RAZORS OF ALL TIME!! ALL LOVERS OF THIS RAZOR ARE INVITED TO JOIN THE FESTIVITIES, IN ANY CAPACITY THAT THEY WOULD LIKE !! Ex.: Post: Shaves, Stories, ER Lather Catcher Porn, Videos...etc.etc....Nows the Time!! VIVA Ever Ready Lather Catchers!!

I'll start things: Todays shave: 04/15th: And here are a few more pix of the beauty our King Fuzzy piffed me... And with a masterpiece handle by Sir Jay: Stropper: I know, I'm over doing it...but this sexy centenarian cleaned up so nice, and gets schweeter looking everytime I use her!! This one made her TOST debut when Brian, @shadowsdad , piffed her to Poppi, I believe...alone with several other LC's... Poppi kept one and sent the others to King Fuzz, and later King Fuzz-man piffed her to me!! That right there is like a micro-cosim of how Crazy Hip our TOSTer Cats can be!! So many Good Vibes and generousity flying around this one razor, you could lose an eye...lol! Well the Blade stops here while I'm breathing...This one has found a home for a while.
