After checking the link I do remember the Twilight Zone episode; it was great. But I knew I heard it on the radio with a guy as the main character. If you follow the "The Hitch Hiker" link at the end of the paragraph it brings you to the 1941 Orson Welles radio show that the TV show was based on. Both TV and radio versions were well done and very spooky. It was and episode of suspense as well. In fact a lot of the best stories such as this were done and redone in various radio and tv shows. Another great suspense episode Agnes Moorhead was a great radio actress. I remember that one well. She was indeed a great radio actress. She was also a great TV actress. Most folks equate Agnes Moorhead with "Bewitched" but if someone wants to see some of the greatest acting ever done they should watch that episode of the original Twilight Zone where she never says a word the entire performance. People would guess the ending now but back then it surprised most of us. Can't remember the episode title.

A couple more Suspense Episodes
This one stars William Conrad, probably the most prolific radio actor if you consider the amount of programs he did. He was under contract to CBS but moonlighted at NBC under a stage name, Julius Cralbine, but his voice is so distinct it fools no one.
This one is humorous at times with a bit of suspense too. It's a hen pecked husband who finally stands up to his wife, or did he? The main character was Parley Baer, who was also in the radio drama Gunsmoke as Chester and in the Dukes of Hazzard as Doc Appleby.
Then one from "The Whistler" A primarily West Coast radio show because it's sponsor, Signal Oil, was only on the West coast. The Whister episodes have a narrator that interjects telling things from the perspective of the bad guy. He's a bit sarcastic in a way that adds to the story and then there is always a twist at the end that does the bad guy in.
