I decided to grow a beard. Other than cheek and neck line clean up (using my E2 for easy clean up) I haven't been clean shaven since January 31st. I think I am gonna try to go a whole year. I still lurk here and like the occasional post, and check out the SOTD threads daily. I have even bought a new to me green enders speed razor just today (and almost bought a valet auto-strop this past weekend); but I am gonna try my best not to give in to the temptation (the struggle is real) to use one of my 60 plus SE razors until February 2020, unless SWMBO sets her foot down.

Dear Santa, Your beard is coming along very nicely. So glad to hear about the Green Enders. I got mine just last month. Love it. Keep up the lurking and occasional posting.

You look good in a beard. But personally there is no way I'd be able to tolerate a beard in warm weather. Back when I used hated razors, and when shaving was a chore, I had one through the winter but it came off at the first sign of warm weather.

Yeah, I just ran 3 miles in 85 degree heat. I do like having a grey beard when running though. It's like wearing a built in excuse to be slow.

You could carry a cane when running. Not only does it make a good weapon but folks will think you're operating WAY above your level. If anyone passes you you could also trip them with it.

Nice beard Dave! If you give it a year it is going to be huge! Are you trimming it up?

Nice beard Dave! If you give it a year it is going to be huge! Are you trimming it up? Thanks! Only a daily shave on the cheeks and neckline to keep the lines defined. Haven't done anything else yet. My oldest daughter is getting married soon, and the wife and I have been "discussing" the difference between a "trim" and "just shaping it up". I do have the approval of the bride to be, and that's what counts. My wife is getting used to it though.

Due to the ADA it can't be taken away, just never admit that it's a weapon and then it can be.

Not as log as yours and a bit patchy. It was a two month beard. I know that it will fill in later on but right now I am going clean shaven. Also It is good you have the brides approval it is her wedding after all. Did your wife not like the beard at first?

When I lived in Arkansas, I would sport a beard from October 1st to March 31st. Pretty much during hunting season. My old boss was fine with it as long as it was neatly trimmed.
