That is looking super Andreas. BTW what size nut and bolt would be needed. 16 or 20mm M5x0.8 bolt. Hexagonal M5x0.8 half nut. (#10-32 should work as well, but I don't have those) I designed it to accept flathead screws 3/4” if using fractions

I would like to hear some discussion about the various mediums available for printing along with their relative costs. Also, Tom, who in the US do you trust with printing?

The current one cost me $13 including shipping. Head and handle. Printed from PLA. I think I'll prefer resin. Doubles the cost though.

Does anyone this side of the pond have any alternative for us europeans?

Jim I had mine done here where I work. The only problem being that I am not allowed to do personal stuff. I called in a favor to get my sample done. I have no idea who can do it. Anybody have somebody they trust? Riverrun has his guy there in England.

I found my ABS/PLA guy through treatstock.comThe advantage is that I can pick the same guy again on their site. The resin printer I found through 3dhubs.com (treatstock was very expensive for resin) Great result, but they allocate a printer of their choice, so no guarantee I'll get the same guy again. Both sites use printers in the US as well I believe. On treatstock, don't pick the cheapest guy, pick the one with the best ratings at a reasonable price. I'm sure there are other sites offering similar services. Edit: Indeed there are many more: 3dsourced.com/rankings/best-online-3d-printing-service/

I have received version 2 and it is a big disappointment. Holes are too small, cap and base don't fit each other. The plastic print quality compared to the resin is dismal. I managed to attach the new handle to the old head though. It's not even proper transparent. Meh. I'll re-order in resin.
Edit: re-ordered in clear resin.

I must have mixed up inches and feet when ordering. I'm having trouble getting it to the upstairs bathroom.

HAHA! You will never find a blade for that.
Looking good. Glad to see progress is being made.

Being myself a Gem (and everything SE) geek, I greatly appreciate this awesome project. I've bookmarked this thread and I come back every few hours to check for updates. Congratulations to both twhite and riverrun for the great team-work, I can't wait to see the final version. The "Enderesque" handle definitely is the icing on the cake.
