I used my newest one last night on 6 days growth. It did fantastic. As the blade is basically sealed, you get no build up of scum and hair inside of the razor. It all falls out the back side and with a swish in the water or a quick rinse it is all clear.
When done shaving the blade was still dry inside.

riverrun, Bill said if you can get him the full working file, he can modify it so he can make a place to insert brass threads in the handle. These are the formats he prefers in order of preference: 1. solid works cad 2. parasolid 3. step or iges If you don't want to give up the originals I understand. If my printing works out, he says we can try ASA instead of ABS. It is a UV resistant medium. It also comes in a number of colors.

OpenSCAD Sorry. That's it. I use open-source software, not software that costs thousands of dollars. Per year. However: If you tell me the dimensions of the nut I can give you a customised file. Immediately. I need the inner diameter of the nut (distance between the flat sides, the width of the slot - not the outer diameter, the distance between two pointy bits on the outside) and the thickness (the height of the slot). But honestly, guys: Go metric

Sounds great. I had a great meeting with my printer. He is currently printing my razor. I showed him the original TNNSER. He was very impressed. He said he could do the roller thing in 3d, too. Anyhow, I will run by in the morning to collect it. View Attachment View AttachmentView AttachmentReally looking forward to how yours comes out. I prefer FDM and ABS for material over the other processes. The resins tend to deteriorate over a bit of time. They also get really brittle. The ABS will not get brittle. Just my 2 cents

Jim
I tried printing out the roller design. It is way to fragile.

twhite and riverrun , I got it. It is awesome. Check it out when the video. So glad it worked out. Can you tell me what resolution that was printed to? Also did you have to do any finish work? Details man details😬 He printed at .007 resolution. He had said that he could do .005 if I liked, but it would cost a little more (not sure how much). I think I am happy with this. I have not done any finish work. My guy had it cleaned and ready to go. The cap slides on great. The hole was big enough for the 5mm screw. I did have to skinny up the nut since it was too tall. He said if I wanted I could use some wet sand paper on it. I am not sure what I would do. I think I will wait until after I shave with it. I am rescheduling tomorrow's shave. It will be TNNSER 3D day. I will also record it. It cost me $32.02 with tax. I asked him if there would be a discount on a multiple run and he said yes. He will get back to me on that. So, maybe we could do a group run. We will see.

I think a group run from the same vendor is a great Idea.

I have bumped my Enders Speed Razor from Friday's shave. The TNNSER 3D will be the star tomorrow. I will try to remember to video the shave.

riverrun, I thought it might me cool to have a handle with TNNSER 3D down the middle of it like the Enders does with Enders Speed Shaver.
