Testing will tell. I may still need to get my femoral arteries scraped out, but if so that won't be until early spring. I'm doing what I can to not have that done. It didn't happen overnight and I don't expect the cure to happen overnight either (unless it's the scraping).

My Pop had his scraped a while back...He was very happy with the results...He had been dreading it and putting it off til his Dr. made him. Then he was very happy about it and said he wished he hadn't procrastinated...."
Just Sayin'...I'm not suggesting anything...I kmow nothing...If you can clean things up through diet...I think....is always the preferred method...But if not...don't be too put off by it...

Thanks. There's just too much going on right now to get surgery. It'll lay me up for a few weeks and the time for that will be "right" in early spring. That gives me time, 9 months give or take, to try things.

I would worry about knocking stuff loose and causing a stroke or a clot in the heart or lungs. Scary stuff man!
I've been hauled off by the meat wagon too many times to want to roll the dice if I don't need to.
Lying on the floor in agony in a pool of sweat is so very uncool.

TobyC, that's why I've been enduring the pain of therapy for the past 9 months. I'm better than I was but progress has slowed to a crawl. I have time. What I have isn't life threatening at this time.

I'm definitely losing weight in ketosis. I miss bread more than anyone can possibly know, but I'll get by. When I reach my goal weight I'll probably go back to a normal diet and keep my eye on the scale. I am definitely losing weight. To weigh oneself the bodily conditions need to be the same each time but that's hard to achieve. But my pants are looser and this weekend I had a match and my web belt was definitely looser. I'd guess that I've lost at least 5# as a minimum.
I'm still taking the Vit K2 mk-7 which keeps calcium in the bones where it needs to be, and I did some research into chelation. My brother swears by it. Years ago when his Dr. was allowed to do it he thought he got great results from it. The med' establishment poo-poos chelation for calcium removal and I can't really say if it's working or not, but I'm also just wetting my toe to feel the temp' of the water. I can take up to 3g/day, I'm taking 600mg/day for 4 days, then 3 days off to allow my kidneys a break. I think I see a difference on the treadmill, but the long term will tell the real tale. I'm in no hurry and I don't want to remove calcium from my bones (hence the Vit K2 mk7). BTW, supposedly it (calcium disodium EDTA) doesn't mix well with water, so it's suggested to mix it with sour cream or yogurt, so that's what I do, then I eat it right before breakfast. My brother took it IV.
