How does the weight of an HFT (G-Bar) compare to an OCMM? Is the handle round or more of an oval shape? I am tinkering around with the idea of getting a HFT or Featherweight.

Wow! That Fuzzy guy makes me feel all warm and Fuzzy! A loaner pack would be a great way to check out these two razors.
My curiosity finally killed my inner cat on these two and I have only recently picked up these models. I do like the G Bar (the handle is somewhat oval, but the 'foot' is what makes it a treat to use) and the FW is an ok shaver, but I have only used it once and I don't seem to be itching to get back to it yet.
Re the weight thang - I have a great scale, but the batteries are toast and kind of pricey for replacement - but I am going to bite the bullet and pick some up today. I will try to get around to that shortly and post how these razors 'weigh in'!!!

Thanks for the info RM. It looked oval and lighter but I wasn't sure. Yes, Fuzzy done the "Loaner" thing before for me and many others. It is something that I really appreciate.

I really, really want to like the HFT. However, it just doesn't shave that great for me. Now if only it was an Open Comb.

Brian, I don't know if an open comb would make much of a difference. The razor is just mild. It would let more lather through to the blade though.
I'm on record as not liking the weight of it, or the handle, as much as the FW. I used the FW yesterday and I got a decent shave, just not as close as I get with other more aggressive razors. But that's what I wanted yesterday.

But that's what I wanted yesterday. I liked the HFT better than the Feather Weight, but not enough to use it over the OCMM or Valet. However, my wife has claimed the Feather Weight as her favorite razor. She just loves the weight of it and the feel of the handle in her hand. She used my left over proraso lather this morning to shave her legs with the Feather Weight. ;D

OK, Fuzzy was kind enough to send me both a featherweight and an HFT to try. This morning I tried the FW. I really liked it. For me the balance was great. Very manuverable and quick. It was like using an injector. Looking at the shape of the handle I thought it would be awkward, but when I picked it up it seemed to fit my hand nicely. So, I was very impressed with the mild FW, this from a guy whose favorite razor is an OCMM. I did notice that as most of you stated, one needs to be careful. It's so lightweight the tendency to apply pressure is strong.
Tomorrow the HFT

However, my wife has claimed the Feather Weight as her favorite razor. She just loves the weight of it and the feel of the handle in her hand. She used my left over proraso lather this morning to shave her legs with the Feather Weight. ;D Shhh! Don't tell my wife, but I think my first FW was hers from a time she doesn't remember. I found it when I began blade shaving this time, asked where it came from and she couldn't remember, but I know it wasn't mine. I do think that she brought it with her. Oh, well, it's mine now. FWIW I got her two gorgeous Lady razors that can't be discussed. So she got, by far, the better of the deal. Alan, if you liked the FW, you might also like the, oh what is it called, the pushbutton or Clik? I can't remember. Probably because I don't have one. I've read posts where users claim it's a lot like an injector.

The push button. I think it shaves like a g-bar and feather weight.
