SOTD August 7th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap EDRIO #102 Schick Mini-Repeater Prototype Personna (?) 30DCLE (26mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Sharp Dressed Man soap and AS Interesting little prototype repeater this morning. The handle is just big enough to hold your standard c-type blade magazine. Put the blade in the magazine and the loading mechanism had no problems racking the blade into the head. Here it is next to a standard size repeater to show scale: That's a very interesting razor.

Friday's ShaveCold Water Rinse LaToja Shaving Stick Jayaruh #296 Brush Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip CVS CS SE CWR Granddad's Blend Somewhere in Pennsylvania. My prep was just a cold water rinse. The LaToja Shaving Stick face lathered well with the Jayaruh #296 Brush. I did two passes with the Gem Micromatic Bullet Tip razor with a CVS CS SE Blade and althought the blade was a bit tuggy on the first pass, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I liked the LaToja so much that I ordered some of their bath bars too.

Sat 10th August. RazoRock Syn 22nn Lea Classic soap ER !924 / Windrose LH. Gem S/S [ 2 ] Lea Classic A/S Lotion After the aggression of the Starling the ER 1924 was very smooth and comfortable. Not only that but without effort the overall finish quality was very good. This is one of my favourites, and with a longer handle outperforms the modern SEs that I have tried - The Sabre L1, ATT SE-G and more latterly the Starling.

I did not have any success finding an injector blade yesterday, so I had to settle for the aforementioned unmentionable. That being said, I had an excellent shave. I just wish I had the foresight to carry some extra blades with me on my trip. Lesson learned, especially when using injectors. Injector blades are difficult to find in stores. I lucked out in a small town drug store that is off the beaten path when I found some recently. The drug store in the little town I lived in stocked injector blades for the local bakery. They used them to score the top of french bread loaves.

I'd have just thought that would be done with an ordinary knife. Push pull click click the bread is scored quick.

The Hybrid showed up yesterday. Got a great shave with it today. Used Williams with the Cremo horse hair.
