Monday AM 07-16-2012Becker scuttle Homemade frankincense & myrrh preshave oil Somerset Simpson Harvard 5 Best brush Houbigant Fougere Royale shaving soap Ever-Ready 1914 razor Gem SS PTFE blade (5) Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort aftershave balm Penhaligon's Lords cologne A great shave. The H5 is a workhorse, and it lathered the FR soap excellently. The razor and blade are still good, at times so smooth that I wasn't sure they were even cutting. The Lords is the only cologne I still have, and I'll never give it up.

It's weird - I'm having the same experience with the OCMM that I did last time I used it. For some strange reason, it seems to give me a very mild shave these days where it used to be quite aggressive. I still get a very close one but it's unusually comfortable as well. I guess I shouldn't complain!

The Douglas is one of my favorite brushes, the Endymion is a great cream, the Damaskeene is my favorite single edge razor, and the GIT is a wonderful finish. It's difficult to imagine anything much better.

CPMM Ted Pella Blade Vulfix # 1 Boar Brush Derby Regular Cream Dickensons WH Old Spice AS
Been away from the SEs for a bit. I pretty much use SEs exclusively now, so I figured I might as well get rid of some of my DEs. I'll probably just keep 2 for when I occasionally use one. Spent the week using them to see who will go and who will stay. Using them for a week just reinforced my preference for SEs. For me, its a closer and smoother shave.

Gem OCMM Gem SS/PFTE Blade (13) Made-Rite 500PB Brush KMF Cool Mint Cream Mennen Skin Bracer
Today is the last day for this blade since I've gotten into the habit of putting in a fresh one every other Sunday. It's probably just as well since this one was just beginning to tug a bit.
I'm nearly out of the KMF cream. I've got to get to the store to buy another tube or maybe even the big pump bottle. I've gotten really hooked on this stuff. To me, there's no cream or soap that's any slicker than KMF. I'm still a big fan of the Arko stick too...and I've almost used that all up as well!

I put in a new blade today. The result was a very enjoyable shave. I'm having such a good time with the OCMM that I'm going to stick with it a little longer.
