Menthol Monday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Virgilio Valobra Menthol Shaving Soap Jayaruh #369 TNNSER 3D Gem CS SE CWR Osage Rub My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Virgilio Valobra Menthol Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #369 Brush. I did two passes with the TNNSER 3D razor with a Gem CS SE Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTD Stirling SEptember 16th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap RazoRock ECO Crown Super Stainless WWB Talleyrand (26mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Deep Blue Sea soap and AS Half way through the month and I finally got in my first SE shave. The RazoRock ECO doesn't use a typical SE blade though, instead is uses ½ of a DE blade. The head geometry of the ECO makes it's feel like a traditional SE in use, however. I was able to shave with a very shallow angle with the ECO. Additionally head of the razor does not introduce any bend to the blade instead it is clamped flat in the head. Despite this, and having some significant blade reveal, I didn't notice any chatter and the blade felt quite stiff, much like a traditional SE. The Crown blade struggled a little bit on the first past with my heavy weekend growth but after that was quite smooth and after three passes the baby was in the house! My face felt really good after this shave. Being able to shave at such a shallow angle really keeps any irritation at bay. I finished off with a healthy splash of the DBS AS and I'm feeling and smelling like a million bucks on this fine Monday morning. Have a great day my friends!

Sept 16th -- Daily Double Enders and British 1912 Ever-Ready. Seems like a weird combo? I can't disagree, but those two razors did an amazing job. The Enders (with a Chick blade) gave me a close comfortable shave after only one pass (and that was on 3 days of growth), and the 1912 Brit (with a GEM SS PTFE blade) made it a DFS after it took the next pass. A quickie clean-up pass (which wasn't really necessary) with the Enders left me as dolphin-smooth. Really great shave today. The lather came from Geo F Trumper's Lime cream and a Jayaruh #270 brush.

Mon 16th Sept. The Grosvenor [ 404-mixed ] P & B Citra Royale OccamsV2 /no3 plate Schick Proline [ 1 ] Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion Had a good Shave yesterday with the Occams, so decided to retry my favourite blade again. From the off it felt rather unforgiving and the general finish was not that good when compared with the Pro Guard on its 7th use. The real problem was its sharpness, whilst polishing ip around the chin I sustained a cut , the type of which I had not had for an age,and never with an AC/SE Razor. I think I will in future use the blades recommended for use with the Occams, and use the Proline where I know it works.
