All -- per a request by ordinaryshaver I am temporarily locking this thread. No rules have been broken, no bricks will be thrown, it's just a time-out.

Ok here we are. After some discussion the MOD Team decided that no one was trying to break the rules. This one just slid sideways fast. Here at TOST we have very few rules. The top rule is that we strictly do not discuss what we call unmentionable razors. This forum has been a single minded one from the start with dirving79, and I made a point to keep it that way when I took over. I removed post that were just about the unmentionable. I have left the rest because like ordinaryshaver and Flintstone pointed out there is some good stuff here to talk about. So carry on with the good part of this. I am about to roll into my thoughts on a few things here.

The Gillette treo. It is single blade open comb, head pivots and the handle doubles as a container of shave gel. I'm interested to try it. It's designed with medical care in mind to shave patients. But I think it could be good for anyone. I saw a YouTube review and they talked about how smooth it was. I'm sure it's a mild shaver for good reason. I've seen them for sale individually at my local drug store. Thoughts? PS: the guy on the video said Gillette should integrate this into their regular razors. But then he said just with five blades. Poor soul he almost had a revelation. This is a umentionable razor here. It is a disposable plastic garbage razor. I understand the market for it but it is not for here. There is a plastic garbage looking razor out there that takes SHADE blades. I almost got behind it but just can't. THAT razor would actually be allowed in...but I would give it a lot of nasty looks LOL.

The Gillette techmatic and Schick band razors are just as much Unmentionable razors. I mean that is a good debate. What makes the cut as a real razor and what distinguishes razors like the band razors from later unmentioonables.(Fuzzy was here) I can see where people would think this. I have a Schick Band razor. The difference is that you do change the blade by moving the band into a new position. I mentioned in my last video with it that it was unmentionable like. They are still part of the SE world as we perceive it here.

I might add that if there is any question ask a mod'. No we don't have all the answers, but if one wants to keep their fingerprints off of it we can take it up the chain of command for you. Otherwise just ask Fuzzy yourself. He doesn't leave toothmarks, just a lump on the head from when a brick does connect.

Dude, it's a unmentionable (Fuzzy was here)razor. This was me, post #2, I don't think this razor fits here. It's a disposable with a blade that is contained within a plastic enclosure. I don't believe people come to TOST to talk about plastic disposables. Maybe a separate section for "fringe razors" which would include band razors, just keep the orange handled "BIC" disposables out please!

The band razor has been named solid SE.
