Tabac Tuesday's ShaveCold Water Rinse Tabac Shave Soap Jayaruh #380 Ever-Ready 1914 Army GEM Stainless SE CWR Tabac ASB My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with Jayaruh #380 Brush. I did two passes and a cleanup with the Ever-Ready 1914 Army razor with a GEM Stainless SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wednesday 15th January Razorock 400 Brush - TOBS Cedarwood Shaving Cream - TNNSER 3D - Pitralon Classic AS Continuing my TOBS Binge. All of my shaves this week have been excellent. I know TOBS is a good performer......but perhaps I should consider bowl lathering more often as the shaves have been consistently good. 3 Passes for a face feeler

Posting this a day late -- shaved late last night (Jan 14, 2020). The shave I had planned out: Ever-Ready Bathroom Set with a nearly new GEM SS PTFE (1) and MWF lathered with my Omega 10077 Boar *almost* happened. I got my blades mixed up and ended up using a blade on it's 18th or 19th shave. I didn't figure it out until nearly the end. The shave wasn't uncomfortable (no tugging, weepers or irritation), it just wasn't terribly close, and it should've been, especially based on the last shave I had with this razor and a brand new blade. Oh well, it wasn't a bad shave at all, just not the one I was expecting.

15/01/2020 WILLIAMS WEDNESDAY
Pre: Pears Transparent Original Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak Plus Soap: Williams Mug Shaving SoapRazor: Kampfe Star Lather catcher Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (2) Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Witch Hazel Balm: Bart's Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion Aftershave: Williams Aqua Velva An involving 3 pass shave on Williams Wednesday, i was happy with my lather even though it was more "wet" than i usually like, it still held up well for the shave. I am still very careful when using my Lather Catchers as i am still in familiarisation mode. I do know i have shaved today and i did get some indication from the alum stone, the repair work started with a splash of Witch hazel infused with Bay Rum essential oil. The Post shave consisted of a face massage with the Barts Balm Lotion and i let it sink in. I then rubbed in a good dollop of the Barts matching AS balm and everything started to feel good again. The 1st time use of the Williams Aqua Velva finished off the shave and I was not sure what to expect, i like it, the overall post shave feel is good, i am not sure of the scent and i am getting a light menthol maybe. So a DFS finish and a good involving shave. Enjoy your day All. PS - - I am pretty sure i was getting "light scratching" from the blade corners, is this the norm? Is it best to remove the corner point, or is it just i need to improve my technique a bit more. Cheers T

Cheers T I've experienced that as well. I have a suspicion that modern blades are a touch wider than the wedge blades the razor was designed for...easy enough to check as I've got both on hand, I just haven't taken the time. I don't modify the blade, but I am VERY careful about the angle and try to be very aware of where those corners are when I'm shaving.

Thanks, I was thinking of just taking off the corners with a bit sand paper, i have not cut or damaged the skin yet and it is a 2nd use blade, i will see how it goes. T
