I've been buying my GEM stainless blades at Walgreens and have been very happy until now. This batch seems less smooth and feels "tuggy" much sooner than my previous Walgreens blades. Have any of you others had similar experiences?

I have not. Do they still say ASR?

I noticed that if I leave the blades in the blade bank in the washroom they seem to lose their edge. It might be the 4 or 5 showers a day that affects them, I don't know. It just seems like the blades loose their edge the longer they are out of the package.

It just seems like the blades loose their edge the longer they are out of the package. That is most likely true. I store all of my open blade containers in heavy duty freezer bags with a few cotton balls to absorb moisture.

Ya know - I rcvd 200 Pellas a couple of months ago and I was pretty excited because I had been out for some time.
I swear the d*rn things aren't up to snuff. 'Tuggy' is a perfect word for them. Since I have had this batch I am less sold on the Pellas. I don't know if they may have sat around on the shelves or some such?? Very disappointing though.

Never thought about that much. Maybe I will move the blades outta the bathroom. Seems like a good ideal now that it has been pointed out.

The Ted Pella 121-3s are SS blades and water isn't going to hurt them. Yes if they were carbon steel blades. All of my "immediate use" blades are in my shave cabinet in the BR (maybe 100) and I've never seen any degradation with the SS blades. I no longer have CS blades, micro rust being one of the reasons.
You may have just gotten a bad batch. I sure hope not, I have a lot of 121-3s and this throws what I have into question.
