Cold Water Rinse TSD Cool Lime Shave Stick Tom's 3D Printed Brush AutoStrop A1 Gem Blue Star CWR Osage Rub
The TSD Cool Lime Shave Stick face-lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A1 with a Gem Blue Star SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Today's GeMonday shave was a comparison between the first and second generation Gem Featherweight. Droo78 noticed the differences and brought it up across the street were it came to my attention. I didn't even realize till then that my two Featherweights were of different generations.
A well used Meijer branded SS Accu TEC blade was shared between the two razors.
Lather was provided by a wonderful thick creamy Tabac on a RazoRock boar brush.
The shave was finished of with a splash of Whitch hazel.
The second Gen was up first and handled the left side neck and the left cheek above my beard line. A two pass shave first WTG then ATG for testing purposes was used.
The blade was then switched to the first Gen Featherweight and the same procedure was used on the right side.
There were not drastic differences between the two but the remaining stubble on the left (second Gen) side was longer and slightly more noticeable. Neither side was socially acceptable with two passes and a well worn blade on my neck. However my cheeks (were the shaving is always easier) are perfectly acceptable.
I did a third pass to clean up the visible stubble for a socially acceptable end result.
I will do this comparison again on my next shave with a new blade to see how big an improvement that makes. Personally if I could only keep one of the razors I'd keep the 1st Gen. but I definitely like using both.

It is. There’s not as much difference (curvature) as I thought there would be vs. the flat cap. Felt great though either way. I definitely see the heart shaped cutout on the spring that you told me about.

Today’s shave was with the other Dammy that (twhite ) Tom sent me. This one is the flat cap version. Yesterday’s shave was with the curved cap version. Both are great shavers! I’ll have to use them both more often to see if I can tell a noticeable difference.
9nein9: To like or not to like the like button? That is the question. Our society thrives off the like button it seems . I'm not sure if I like it or I don't like it.Just kind of got used to it .

carlfrommo: Hey guys. Last minute question here. What shot size should I use for flying reindeer?

ordinaryshaver: You want to use 3 1/2 in magnum lead shot, in size T. Problem solved.

ordinaryshaver: No steel, too light and use an extra full choke, unless you have a good blind setup

carlfrommo: Well, last night was a failure. I had one shot, and I didn't lead the red-nosed one enough. I think I ended up shooting the driver. Might have gotten him in the leg. Hard to tell because he was wearing red pants and coat.

carlfrommo: He turned his sled away and landed on the roof two blocks down. Out of range for a second shot. I did notice he walked with a bit of a limp though. He shouldn't be coming in my yard anyway.

mrconklin: Last time I hunted waterfowl. 2 3/4 shells were standard and the cool kids were starting to play with the 3 inch, but most guns weren't made for them. Steel was also just starting to be mandated on Federal and State land.
