May 13th -- Wonderful William Wednesday An unmentionable and a new-to-me (although I think it's been sitting in my den for at least a year, probably 2) Rhodes Kriss Kross SE Razor. The KK did an outstanding job with a Schick Proline B blade locked into place. Fuzzy ( wchnu) was the inspiration for this shave. I was eye-balling his Christy shave and realized that the Kriss Kross could be used the same way. Great shave today -- Modern Williams and a Jayaruh Boar added to the greatness! Here's a slightly different angle of the razor:

Here's a slightly different angle of the razor: I recently received a Kriss Kross. I'll have to give it a try. Did you have to shim the blade at all? And if you switch the Kriss Kross into its other configuration dose it become an unmentionable???

While selecting a soap this morning I notice one was missing. I had selected Chiseled Face Pine Tar soap and realized that I hadn't seen my Lightfoot's Pine Shaving Cream Soap. After nearly hour's search I found it. I had removed it from the mug and wrapped it in foil and stored in a drawer. I must have needed the mug, but it is empty now. Lightfoot is back in it!! Sooo, today's shave: Razorock ECO, Lightfoot(19th Century British Classic), Omega 1098 boar, no AS-just fresh pine scent from the soap. Perfect shave!!!

I recently received a Kriss Kross. I'll have to give it a try. Did you have to shim the blade at all? And if you switch the Kriss Kross into its other configuration dose it become an unmentionable??? No shim needed, my Kriss Kross still clamps the blade VERY tightly (it will not move until I press the back to release it); but I have read accounts of folks whose KK's have been on the loose side and they ended up using a slight shim. As to the 2nd question, I don't know....I'm not in a brick-catching mood, so I'm not going to test the waters . I will say that it can be difficult (or at least it was for me) to find the right blade placement. My KK doesn't really have prominent blade stops, so it's truly adjustable. My first placement of the blade was too far back, after an adjustment it was too far forward, but (and you guessed it) the 3rd adjustment was "just right". Now load that razor and as the musical artist of the same name (but different spelling) says: "Ride like the Wind"!!!

15/05/20 Pre: 1912 Scottish Heather Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak Plus 1950 Soap: 1912 Scottish Heather Razor: Colonial General V2 Stainless Blade: Feather PB (8) Post shave: Cold water splash, Homemade Witch Hazel Balm: Arran Machrie Aftershave: Arran Machrie Some wonderful shaves this week finishing with the General V2. Although i have also enjoyed using a very assertive unmentionable this week, who is a most handsome devil and very good at what he is supposed to do. I am not 100% sure it would get a regular spot in my rotation, i have better "suited to me" razors to use. BBS, Feeling and smelling real good. Stay Safe and enjoy your day all.

16/05/20 Pre: Shower Brush: Alpha Outlaw Titanium G4 Synth Soap: 1912 Irish Fern Razor: Supply V2 Custom 2 dot Blade: Personna Injector (6) Post shave: Cold water splash, EO infused Witch Hazel Balm: Floïd Balm Aftershave: Floïd SE Mentolado Vigaroso 3 Passes for a DFS result today, the 2 dot plate requires a little work to achieve BBS for me, however, initially i found the 3 Dot plate a tad too much, i may have to give it another spin. I still enjoyed the shave and it was very relaxing, at no time do you feel as if the razor is going to bite. A great face lather today with the 1912/Alpha Ti Synth combo finishing with the Floïd post shave routine. A late Post as i have been on Hairdressing duties for Mrs TC, she is very happy with her new colour, i also quite like it. I may have given myself a new regular job here. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
