When I travel I usually bring along one if my military kits. I have a Damaskeen and a 1912 gem junior and a VAS kit. This time i brought a clog pruf that is in a nice hard case. Wonderful choice. Threw in a travel brush I love a plastic screw top container with some of Krissy's clubman scent soap and some generic AV. Great little kit.
Do you guys find that you rotate through travel things? Or do you pretty well have a locked in kit?

When we travel it's usually for more than just a day or two. Last fall it was weeks at a time. If we travel on vacation were usually gone at a minimum a week. If it's just an overnight trip the hubby usually doesn't pack any shaving gear and waits till he gets home.
So the hubby usually packs about 3-4 different soaps/creams and 3-4 different colognes that strikes his fancy. He only uses 1 brush and 1 razor day in and day out so those get packed as well. He likes to have options and not use the same thing day in and day out. Last fall he didn't pack enough blades and while in Rochester for longer than we thought (we figured 2 weeks were there 4 weeks) he was getting desperate. Luckily a friend Ultra-Marty you may know him from other forums came to visit me in the hospital so he came to the rescue with some more blades for the hubby from his own stash.
I'm a little easier to pack for as I don't have to shave my legs daily. But i'll usually just pack one soap or a cream and use that plus a matching scented lotion. Then my favorite brush and razor gets packed with me as well and blades.
LOL Of course when I was in the hospital last I was a little desperate to shave my legs but couldn't do it myself. Nothing worse than doctors and nurses looking at your legs (history of blood clots in leg) multiple times a day and having hairy legs!!! So I did send the hubby out for a pkg of disposable razors and a can of good and he shaved my legs for me. But that was only out of desperation and it was much easier for him to use that equipment rather than my usual. But most of the time for the last year and a half I did use disposables just because I was on blood thinners so it was more of a safety precaution to use that than a DE.

I travel very infrequently now and when I do I have so many other things along (by auto) that my personal gear takes the space hit.
I take one kit along that I bought in the early 70s and I used in active duty army 40 years ago. I'm almost never gone for more than a few days so I bring an unmentionable razor along and now I'd bring my Omega 599 silvertip in a pill bottle and whatever soap struck my fancy on the day of packing. I no longer camp so it's motels/hotels only. Generally the soap I choose is one that isn't too water dependent (hard vs soft) for decent results (ie: not Williams for example). I'm not looking for an adventure in shaving while I travel; just a decent shave.

I have 2 kits; one if I'm traveling for business and one if I'm camping.
On business trips (usually one or 2 nights) I take a mild razor, brushless cream in sample container, and a light AS in a sample bottle. My main concern is not to nick myself.
If I'm camping I'll take lime soap, lime AS, rubber mug, brush, small mirror that I can hang on a tree or Saguaro, and one of my SEs. Camping I take my time and enjoy it.

I have my travel kit pretty much set. The only thing that I might change from trip to trip are my razors. I take both a DE and SE/Injector depending on how many days I will be gone.
Always take my C&E BBB, Tabac shave stick, Thayers, blades, mug, etc. Would be nice to take along a few creams but when I pack I do so for lightness and ability to get everything into a carry on type piece of luggage.

I've got my travel kit set also. I have my FW in a leather "holster", an inexpensive Burma-Shave boar brush (I think I might like to try one of those cheap Turkish horse hair brushes to supplement this), an Arko shave stick in a large pill bottle, and Skin Bracer in a small plastic atomizer bottle. I also normally carry one of the plastic ASR blade safe boxes of Gem SS or CS blades. I've used this set up both camping and while staying in a hotel and it works great for me...all (well, most) of the comforts of home!

I somehow misplaced/lost my travel kit in the last few months. Not a clue where it went, but I have been doing some travel of late and staying hotels here and there so.....
I have used this kit with a 1914 ER, assorted soaps and cheap boar for some time. It all fit into a stainless container that I melted VDH into the lid for a soap bowl and I was very happy with. I really enjoyed travelling with the 1914 and the last hotel I was in was actually built in 1914 so it was pretty cool to use it. (maybe it is there!! I shall phone them).
I have to travel again soon and I may take an unmentionable razor with me this time around - not sure. Essentially I am starting all over again with getting a set up.
