After talking with hoosiertrooper about this damaskeene with a patd date of 1902, all we can come up with is that its most likely a mis-mark , an oops if you will.. some screw ups are kinda cool huh? Attachments:

So it should be 1912?

The damaskeene wasn't made until 1912. All we can really say is that a handful of these D's made it past the quality control desk before the die was correctly set back to to 1912. Certain oopsie's can be quite valuable.... Mine is cased, with unused blades in their paper wrappers, along with the mail in coupon for the strop.

Sounds like a great set. I am a bit green with envy.

Yes, there has been a recall on those. Send it to me for proper disposal.
:-)
It's pretty cool!

Lol. Many many "razor disposal experts" have volunteered their services, I had no idea this rare misprint was capable of dastardly deeds and waranteed immediate disposal! It's good to know I'm in such honest company! LOL

I made a nice living as a photographer for a long while... that pic was taken with a camera phone (flash off!) and a simple table lamp. quite easy in fact. If anyone ever needs help with pics, let me know... glad to help.
