RM, VDH Deluxe will melt fine. Just don't walk away from the microwave... it boils over easily. Too, if you have access to "Clearly Natural" brand glycerine soap, it works just as good, maybe better than VDH as a shave soap. It melts as easily too. Add some scent to any glycerine soap while it's molten. I use my bay rum scent and also add menthol crystals to Clearly Natural. The menthol melts into the hot soap instantly. I picked up a bar of this the other day. Melted it into a container today. If it works out good it might be my next shave stick project. I see there are several different scents and such. Could be a fun little project.

Keep us posted on this one Fuzzy, if it works out as good for you as it did for Brian I may try it. I like using soap but am trying to get away from the high dollar ones.
