Here is my newest SE. It is a Valet Auto Strop from a WWI set. It cleaned up nice. I have a Feather SE blade in it and will give it a spin here in a few days. I know it will shave as good as any of the other VAS that I have. Fuzzy Attachments:

This is the set as I got it. I notice that there is an empty slot here. Anyone have an ideal what might go there? I am just not sure. Fuzzy Attachments:

I wonder if the slots were designated for a "used blade", "new blade", and then the strop. Nothing backs up my guess, just purely speculation based on other razor sets.

Ahhh yes as an Auto Strop it would need the Strop. DO'H ....did not think about that for some reason. grrrr.. just so happens I have a strop that I can add to it.. Thanks for jolting the ole memory.

Ok on second thought it is not for a strop. At least not one that I have. The slot is to small. So back to square one on that.
On another note this thing shaved great. Woohoo!!

I have 3 different lengths of Auto Strop strops. Would a shorter strop fit, or is it more of a width problem?

Some of the WW1 kits would contain quite a few blades. It is possible this kit was set up with 4 blade boxes. The ER below came fully loaded!

I have been looking into that.. all the VAS sets seemed to have a place for the strop.. which makes sense..... this one does not have it. I wonder if this should be a GEM or Ever Ready set. HUMMMM

HUMMMM I have never seen another kit like yours before - but sometimes it seems like the variations can be endless - so who knows?

And to answer an earlier question I missed ... the strop would be too wide to fit that slot I am pretty sure it is for a box of blades now.
