Greetings Monday 1st October 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: ER 1914 Little Lather Catcher Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Omega 10810 Boar Cream: Erasmic Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm Super shave. After condemning this cheap boar brush and labelling it as useless I do believe it is at last starting to 'open up' a bit, although I still feel that the knot's width is too much for it's short loft, making it very stiff. Regards Dick.

All right! LC week - I'm in! Oct 1 1902-04 Comfort Rasir Apparat LC (some date it late 1800s) Pella PTFE x1 Omega Pro Boar Truefitt & Hill Rose Cream Rose water splash I really enjoy using this well made German LC. It is similar to a Kampfe wedge. Although it is indeed a wedge razor also, the company thoughtfully put in discreet razor stops on the frame that work perfectly for placing a spined wafer blade. Very enjoyable shave. Thanx for the suggestion to go LC. (sorry for the huge pic)

I for one, would love to see pics of the LCs being used.. in this great idea for a thread. We all know what a 1912 looks like, but LCs are just lovely and I personally dont know what they all look like off the top of my head. Consider editing your posts gents? Pretty please?
I will use my gem jr bar LC and post pic tomorrow am!

Tuesday I used the Comfort once more as I enjoyed it so much MOnday! Wednesday's LC shave: Gem Junior Elite Pella PTFE T&H Rose (again!) C&E Best Badger Krampert's Finest Bay Rum I do love to use this shaver!!! Such luxury with the ivoroid handle. The length of this handle is just right too - longer than any other non-metal handle for a LC and it suits me just fine. Great shave!!!

Friday Oct 4th Gem Junior Bar Pella PTFE Omega Pro Van Der Hagen Deluxe Still a favorite of mine. It was only an ok shave today though. This batch of Pella blades I have seem to be kind of dull. They do pull a bit and I find that after at least one shave they perform better but still not as good as I remember other Pellas to have performed. I have taken to palm stropping them when they come out of the wrapper, but that is only marginally improving them. Drat is all I can say. I picked up 200 of them and now I am stuck. : \

Where is all the lather catcher love?? Those folks who are concerned that this site focuses too much on the old razors can certainly stop their worrying!! It seems that the interest regarding these razors is sliding terribly.
Oh well - I am still hooked - VIVA THE OLD STUFF!!! : )
