Friday Oct 4th Gem Junior Bar Pella PTFE Omega Pro Van Der Hagen Deluxe Still a favorite of mine. It was only an ok shave today though. This batch of Pella blades I have seem to be kind of dull. They do pull a bit and I find that after at least one shave they perform better but still not as good as I remember other Pellas to have performed. I have taken to palm stropping them when they come out of the wrapper, but that is only marginally improving them. Drat is all I can say. I picked up 200 of them and now I am stuck. : \ Rocketman, Ive come across more than a few less than perfect Pella SE blades in my time as well.. All I can say is that handstropping them a good 10 or so times on each side when new, and before each shave really seems to help them a lot, for me at least. I have 400 or so, I had to find something to help this issue that pops up from time to time.

I didn't have a chance to shave yesterday, and as today is the last Lather Catcher day, I figured I would use my youngest LC, the 1919 model Star LC which was marketed by ASR once they took over the Kampfe business.
I don't have a photo - but will try and get one posted up here in the next few days.
1919 Star LC Pella PTFE Vintage Star boar brush Williams Mug soap
Next time we do a Lather Catcher theme week I am going to try and use exclusively wedge blades. I am going to start practicing my sharpening now!! I have a number of LCs that are just begging to be used but only can handle wedges. So, it is time for me to get off the pot and.....!!!!
