Quite the interesting book archive.org/stream/shavingmadeeasyw0020th#page/n3/mode/2upStole this link from a thread on B&B Book was written in 1905 so it is intended for straight razor shaving, however there is some good stuff on lathering, pre and post shave procedures. In the beginning of the book there is a small section on the new safety razors that are starting to appear. It sounds as though the author does not have much use for them Its a good read, enjoy

It is a good read. I am using some of the tips from it and getting great shaves I am now lathering my face when it is dry (sounds odd but works really well) And using hot water to rinse and then a witch hazel rub Try it, you'll like it

Cool.... Here's a good place to get thousands of free e-books,mostly old stuff with expired copyright. The old stuff keeps me grounded so sometimes I load some on my iPhone's Kindle App for reading on the run. www.gutenberg.org/

Thanks I will go into the book when I have time. These days I am extremely busy at work. I am on verge to be promoted for really good position so I had been working my ass off. Which will conclude in having more fund for shaving stuff

Thanks for the link, sleddog! I finally got around to reading this. It is quite interesting read opinions from the era when soap-and-brush shaving was commonplace.
If only I knew what to do about the impurities in my blood.
