Some time ago we were talking about things that work good cleaning razors. I believe it was Tom (HT) that said he had good luck with Break Free. I had used it myself but not on razors. Recently I picked up an L type Schick that still had the blade in it. I soaked in scrubbing bubbles but it still didn't want to come out. So I soaked the head in Break Free for about 30 minutes and the blade came out fairly easily, however, it did seem rough when I slid a new one in. I soaked it some more and then ran about 7 blades through it. It loads and ejects smoothly now. Even though I was careful to keep the solution off the plastic handle some got on it. No damage at all! In fact cleaned it up quite nicely. Not sure if BF is safe for all plastics but it worked out nicely here.

I don't recall ever using it to clean razors but it should work well for lubrication, it's what we are issued to clean and lubricate our weapons.

Tom, maybe I got mixed up with an old thread in the blind pig where we were talking about firearm cleaning (old age memory loss). Anyway it worked well on the Schick.

I use Break Free CLP for guns, knives, and bicycle chains -- why wouldn't it work well on razors. Thanks for the tip!
