One of my best shaves ever.Super smooth/Super fast...Wide awake yet in a hurry I shaved in record time with modern Williams and an ER Streamline with great results.Love it or hate it,Williams is a good baseline soap, almost everyone can relate to it in one way or another.

That's the spirit. BULLY!!!!! ;D Bully indeed!! I have a problem though. I have a regular new puck of Williams - but I also have an unused old one. I can't tell how old it is and it isn't in the box, but it is the only vintage one I have. Is the old stuff really any better?? Or is it just the romance of an old puck o soap? Should I sacrifice this totally cool old puck that I have had around for at least a few years? Or do I keep it and use a new one? Hmmm ;D

Tuesday 12/4
Razor: Schick injector E2 Blade: Personna Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar Lather: Williams Post: Alum, Kramperts Finest Bay Rum, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Fun to break out the Williams again. It's been a while... First pass lather was a bit thin, but I got it right after that. Nice, mostly BBS shave. I actually started with a GEM micromatic, but the blade was too dull so I switched in mid-pass to the injector. I was too lazy to go to my blade stash in the next room for a new GEM blade.

Wednesday 12/5
Razor: Schick injector E2 Blade: Personna Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar Lather: Williams Post: Alum, Lucido, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Didn't get as good a lather as yesterday. Fell into the Williams trap (at least for me) of "vanishing lather" on the first pass, fixed it on pass 2 plus touch-up, but got a bit of burn on pass 1.

Apparently Williams is so bad to lather with that it even breaks cameras! Not a single picture in this SOTD thread. Bad Williams, bad!

Thursday 12/6
Razor: ER 1914 Blade: GEM Stainless (1) Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar Lather: Williams Post: Alum, Lucido, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Another so-so lather that eventually came around. The end-result was a very nice shave, but still a bit of first-pass burn. DFS+.

Thursday late evening shave
OC Damaskeene PAL D-2 Williams Vie-Long Pro Horse WH Musgo Real
I thought at first the Williams was going to flop with the high loft horse hair. But once it made it to my face it was a great lather for both passes. Little cleanup with a witch hazel pass and I was good to go.
