3 December 2012Razor: Schick E2 + Schick blade (7) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Black Badger Soap: Sultan's Amber (sample) AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask I'm amazed at how smooth this Schick blade still is on shave #7. Even with 2 days of growth I only needed 2 passes for a BBS result. The WSP Black Badger feels really nice, just the right amount of scritch for multiple days of stubble to remove. The Sultan's provided a pretty slick & dense lather with a light scent. Of course it all was finished sublimely with KFBR!

Greetings Tuesday 4th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: Valet Autostrop Brit. Blade: Feather SE Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Soap: Speick grated into a container A truly great shave, the feather SE blades are superb, it is just a shame they are so expensive and so short lived. This is my first try with a Spieck shave stick, I was tempted to try it as a result of all the superlatives that a member on another forum uses to describe it; I have to say I found them not to be the least bit exaggerated. This has to be the creamiest soap I have ever used it can be brushed up to a super lather with the minimal of effort even with my hard water, it is nice and 'slippy' and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. As to scent , I don't think it really has any other than soap. Regards Dick.

04 December 2012Razor: Cobra Classic + Feather Pro (1) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Monarch Super Badger 2-band Soap: RazoRock La Famiglia Nonno Michelino AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask Chuck Norris was once bitten by a King Cobra. 5 horribly painful days later the Cobra died. Chuck Norris, I am not. The Cobra did bite me but also amazed me with how easy a shave I got. The weight and width of this razor along with the different angle needed did not allow me to be blood free on my first use with the supremely sharp Feather Professional blades. No styptic or alum was needed to stop the flow of red, just a few cold water splashes. Still I am not daunted and I'm confident that with further use I'll get the angle dialed in. The handle was not any trouble as I initially thought it could be.

Wednesday 5th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: Valet Autostrop Canadian Blade: Feather SE Brush: Turkish No. 6 Soap: GZD Squeezed into a container Aftershave: La Toja Balm
An ultra close shave, I think that after two shaves the Feather SE blade has just about had it's day; by means of a test for the blade I shall fit it with a spine and try it in my 1912 GEM Junior, a razor I am very familiar with.
Regards Dick.

Greetings
Thursday 6th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Junior (Baton Handle) Blade: Feather SE with added spine Brush: VIE Long 13061 M Horse Soap: Lea grated into a container Aftershave: Adidas Balm
This is the third use of this feather SE blade and it is one use too many; this is the third time that I have only had two good shaves from a feather SE blade and I think it is the norm; at least for me and I have only a medium beard. This is a real shame as these blades when new are superb and unlike their DE cousins they do not make my face sore.
I am very impressed with the Lea shaving stick which is Lanolin and Glycerine it makes a super lather and they cost just over a Euro in the Spanish supermarkets.
Regards Dick.

06 December 2012Razor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (3) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Monarch HMW Soap: TABAC AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask Day 3 with the Cobra and I'm really getting it dialed in nicely. A very smooth and easy shave. The Feather Pro blade has really smoothed out thanks to the palm stropping. Something I'll be doing with each new blade now.

Greetings Friday 7th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: Ever Ready Featherweight Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Body Shop Synthetic Soap: Derby Stick grated into a container Aftershave: RSC Balm In order to increase Fuzzy's envy levels I have shaved with and posted a picture of the Brit, ER Featherweight, as is the case with the Heavy Flat Top the differences are only cosmetic. To be quite fair it is a pretty 'tinny' little razor I wonder if when it was produced the company was trying to save weight or manufacturing costs. Nontheless I find it a great little mild shaver. I think this is the first time I have used this body shop brush and I won't be using it again, in a word, crap! This is the only synthetic brush I have tried, I would like to try one of the new generation synthetics which have received some really good reviews. A super shave in spite of the lacklustre performance of the brush; it did after all apply the lather so it must get one point out of ten. Regards Dick.

Friday 12/7
Razor: ER 1914 Blade: GEM Stainless (2) Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: KMF Cool Mint Post: Alum, Kramperts Finest, Unrefined Shea Butter
Results: Great shave except for two tiny nicks that were sheer sloppiness. It was nice to come back to KMF after a couple of days of Williams. My problem is that I'm frequently just a bit pressed for time and I can't get a good Williams lather if I don't take my time... KMF and Godrej are fool-proof for me.

Greetings Saturday 8th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic Bullet Tip Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue 830 Boar Soap: Spieck grated into a container Aftershave: Floid Balm A nice gentle but super close shave, I am really smitten with the Spieck, possibly or perhaps even probably the best soap I have tried to date! Regards Dick.
