Here is a link to a Youtube video of a fella whipping up some saucy Williams mug soap lather.
Thankfully, I don't have too many days like this guy's. Where's the beef?

Works great for me, I usually use it at least once or twice a week.

Greetings When you live in a hard water area like I do here in the east of England it is a revelation to shower and shave in really soft water. My recent trip to Fuerteventura in the Canaries highlighted the difference, water shortage is a huge problem there and the water is desalinated sea water and ultra soft. My usual amount of shower gel on my sponge resulted in foam three or four inches deep in the bottom of the bath, the same with shaving, the tiniest amount of soap or cream produced a huge lather. I can't comment on Williams it's just not sold over here but many soaps labelled as 'difficult' just are not difficult at all in soft water areas. Regards Dick.

That video is posted in our shave school here. One of the members made it. Williams rocks.

I was thinking as I watched him loading the brush that he must have hard water. It doesn't take nearly that long for me, but I do have soft water.
Well at least this time the Williams post didn't get the comments about how it smells like the block in the public urinal. I've often wondered how those folks know that!?

The past 2 days I've tried adding more water to my shave mug at the beginning as in the video and my already easy to lather Williams now lathers even faster and stays moist longer.

I know a lot of people like it that way. I use less water and form a paste. Works great for me as a face lather type guy. Whatever works is great.

Not sure how I'd describe my method, face lathering or somewhere in between. No matter how much water I use,I'm only swirling my brush in the mug for about 12 seconds and get a lot of lather before going to my face and it continues to build rapidly there. My water is extremely good for producing abundant lather with little effort.

Sounds like a good plan. My water is so hard you have to chew it before you swallow it.
