24 December 2012Razor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (1) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Monarch Super Badger 2-band Soap: TABAC AS: Krampert's Finest Bay Rum -- Hip Flask Went ahead and changed the blade in the Cobra as I was taking some pictures of how the blade change process works. I was a bit nervous remembering how such a wicked sharp blade wore me out on my first shave with the Cobra. Fortunately, 2 weeks worth of use and an initial palm stropping of the blade led to a perfectly smooth 2-pass BBS. This razor just about has me fully assimilated!

Oh yeah, used my Schick Adjustable on "1" for my head shave on about the 17th shave on the same blade. Great!

The Streamline sure is a fine piece. The brush is a custom I had made by Bob Quinn at Elite Razor. I have a thread about it in the brush forum if you want more pictures & info. The material is a swirl of garnet resin & buckeye burl. I'm loving the burl & considering another custom done completely in buckeye burl.

Brian, you sure do get a lot of compliments on that brush, it is indeed a beauty. Anyway,
Christmas Day
Gem Push Button (Thx Fuzzy) Treet Carbon Blade VL Horsehair Brush TOBS Sandalwood Soap Bijom AS Balm
The TOBS soap (Xmas gift) doesn't really have a strong Sandalwood scent, it's more of a clean, Sandalwood, soapy scent. I like it a lot. We'll see how it works out. I normally don't use balms but the Bijom also was a gift. Smells nice but doesn't seem very effective. I never heard of it before I got it, has anyone else used it?
Hope everyone had a great day! Alan
