Greetings
Friday 28th December 2012 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog-pruf Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Omega 39 Boar Cream: T.O.B.S. Sandalwood Aftershave: Wilkinson Sword Sensitive Balm
It makes a nice change to use cream now and again as I usually use soaps. This Sandalwood is the only cream (or soap) I have where the scent lingers beyond the cold water rinse.
Regards Dick.

Ahh, the shave enhancer is alive! Does it mainly just add scent to the soap or also moisturizing properties?

I have had a long week and do not remember all the shaves.. but I did use the 1912 GEM Junior both the baton handle and slim handle. I also used a VAS and the Schick Grip. Williams soap Derby Lemon cream LEA shave stick and Colgate soap were all in the mix also. I hope things are slowing down.
On a happy note I did get my Grandads 1994 Ranger back on the road. I love having family stuff to take care of.

Ahh, the shave enhancer is alive! Does it mainly just add scent to the soap or also moisturizing properties? Honestly, this is the first time I have tried it. I used it with an un-scented soap and it gave it a nice spicy Bay Rum scent. It also has glycerine in it, made for a really nice lather, very smooth shave. Will be adding it some of my other soaps/creams to see how it effects them.

I've been EXTREMELY bad about posting my SOTD lately...I've just been too busy with the holidays! Here's my catch-up for the week:
Monday, 24 December
Gem MMCP Gem SS/PFTE Blade (2) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Mennen Skin Bracer AS
Tuesday, 25 December Christmas with the Dammy!
Gem Cutlery Damaskeene Gem SS/PFTE Blade (3) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Pereja Lemon Cologne
Wednesday, 26 December
Gem Feather Weight Gem SS/PFTE Blade (4) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Pinaud Clubman AS
Thursday, 27 December
Gem 1912 Junior Gem SS/PFTE Blade (5) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Family Dollar (Vi-Jon) Spice AS
Friday, 28 December
Gem Heavy Flat Top Gem SS/PFTE Blade (6) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Kroger (Vi-Jon) Arctic Blue AS
Saturday, 29 December
Gem OCMM Gem SS/PFTE Blade (7) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Pereja Lemon Cologne
I had great shaves every single day - not a solitary complaint! The shave with the HFT came as a particular surprise. It's usually the poorest performer for me but this week I got an exceptionally close and comfortable shave from it.
Santa was very good to me this Christmas. Among other things, I received the Amazon special of 15 sticks of Arko from my oldest son. Now I'm ready for the shaveocalypse! Seriously, I think my supply of Arko is going to last me for several years.

I thought I smelled something coming from the St. Louis direction!
Enjoy the years to come of Arko. Just know that you'll never be able to sneak up on anyone.

Friday shave
OC Damaskeene Treet D-1 ER 650PB Palmolive cream WH Musgo Real
Great shave. The cream is the old US formula in plastic tube. This brush has the original badger knot in it. It is getting toward the end on it. Soon time for a reknot. The cream worked great. Not a fancy scent but not bad either.

29 December 2012Razor: EverReady Streamline Brush: E7 Scarlett Soap: Vito's Extra Super Coco AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask Tried two different angles with the Streamline today. Half of my face was shaved with the blade almost perpendicular to the skin, while the other half was shaved with the blade almost parallel to the skin. The parallel half was much smoother in fewer passes and felt easier to maintain.

Almost parallel is where I'm at except for trimming around my goatee It's surprising how close to completely parallel you can shave with the Streamline and still cut whiskers, very close to complete parallel is how I shave across a sensitive area....smooth sailing.

30 December 2012Razor: British EverReady Streamline Brush: s havemac TSN '13 D01 Extra Silver Tip 003/100 Soap: Proraso AS: Krampert's Finest menthol + USB 1st use of the USB this morning. It may be a bit thick for me but I do like the moisturizing aspects. I think I'll use it at night and stick with my Krampert's for after the shave. I'll keep experimenting with it though. It's obviously great for my skin I just need to dial in how I can use it.
