I have dozens of bottles of Old Spice that date all the way back to the 50's. There's a definite difference between the various era's, I can even tell some difference in bottles from the same time frame. How much this is due to how the bottles where stored over the last few decades, or slight differences in ingredients, who knows. My favorites are from the 70's, maybe because that's when I was in high school and the military and was using it almost daily, but the scent from those bottles is the best to my nose.

You know when I come to think of it I miss my Old Spice. Got away from it when I got back to traditional wet shaving because of the "sting" from getting such a close shave. Now that my technique has gotten better I think I could tolerate it. Might have just a bit of it left in the last bottle I have sitting on a shelf in the bathroom. Think I will get it out and splash some on and get the wife's hormones going. Who know, might get lucky this evening. Well, did it work? I hope so,if Mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy

I got some of the new stuff as a gift, tried it and liked it but when I buy I choose Shulton. I like the old scent better.

Yep...Old Spice rules in my shave cave....and funny...I picked up a couple of those huge bottles of OS AS when I was in Doha this past year...I wanted the Cologne but didn't see it. And I looked!! I; not unlike you guys; like each period of OS...but I prefer the Cologne....the AS just doesn't last an hour on me...I can take a bath in it and 2 hours later ...nothing... But thats cool if I want to use a cologne later...I still dig how the AS seals the deal after a shave...

I agree with you Lloyd, I prefer to use cologne whenever I can. Some days I put on AS immediately after I shave and then matching cologne on top of it a little later.

I prefer cologne also but unfortunately I can't wear it to work. That's why I buy mostly AS, it goes away by the time I get to work.
