That's great. I thought I had a nice score like that but the boxes, bowls, & kits I found were Wrisley & Currey & Ives.

So, I shaved with the Yardley Sunday evening. It still has it's scent (though undoubtedly not as strong as when produced). It lathered up great and I had a fine ole shave. That being said, I'll probably set it aside as a "special occasion" type indulgence. Lord knows I already have enough modern software to keep me busy.

Other than the scent being mild, do you think the soap mixed up and performed pretty much the same as if it were new? I realize that is kind of hard to answer since you haven't a new one to compare to but.....what do you think?

I realize that is kind of hard to answer since you haven't a new one to compare to but.....what do you think? Yeah, it performed as well as any modern soap I have. I had used a blade to scrape off the topmost particles of surface prior to lathering. It lathered up like it was fresh out of the package (in my estimation). It had a nice slickness to it. I've mostly been a cream guy, but it compares favorably to the soaps I do use regularly (PDP,Cade,Cella,Valobra stick). By the by, I'm not the best at discerning scents. Does anyone know what the Yardley is supposed to smell like?

I am living 20 min away from London and I never had chance to try these soap. And now finding them on eBay is hard.
