Nice looking brush.
TGN has nice knots. I've never used their Best, I absolutely love their Finest and their gen3 synthetics. We'll need an after action report.

Thanks Fuzzy. I got your PM this morning and now get to see my new brush.
The reason I asked for the Best Badger and the 110 mm overall length is because I wanted a brush that would be very similar to my "favorite" brush, a C&E BBB which was the first brush I bought when I got back into traditional wetshaving in 2008. Seems that is the brush that I go to the most.
Looking forward to getting it and giving it plenty of use in my brush rotation. May even be able to cut back on the C&E BBB a bit.
Any, thanks for taking your time to refurb this brush for me.

Nice looking brush. TGN has nice knots. I've never used their Best, I absolutely love their Finest and their gen3 synthetics. We'll need an after action report. I have 5 badger brushes. All use TGN knots except for the C&E BBB which was my first brush. All are Silvertip knots and work just great for lathering creams, which I use most and also for soaps. In fact I can do a pretty good job of face lathering soap sticks with them as well. I like to find a nice looking brush handle, no matter the condition of the knot and then have it refurbed with a TGN knot.

Thats a very nice handle. With that brush knot installed it has a very balanced look. Looking forward to hearing how it goes our favorite marsupial!
Nice job Fuzz. What sort of glue did you end up using? The base - that is celluloid or.....??

I used locktite two part epoxy. It should hold forever. As far as the handle it is a mostly solid one. Not sure exactly but probably celluloid.. not sure. This one is on its way home. ;D

Fuzzy,
The brush found its way home. Just opened it up and you did a very great job with the re-knot. So good that the wife seemed to hint, with her "That's beautiful and soft" comment, that she would like use it. No way, but I may let here use the C&E BBB instead.
Think I might be like I was as a little kid. When I got something really nice from Mom and Dad or one of my Aunts and Uncles I would take the gift, especially if it was soft and cuddly to bed with me. Really, I am going to have it sitting right in front of me while I computer the rest of the day. But to bed, well . . .
Gonna give it a test drive in the morning. Will take before and after bloom photos and post here.
Thanks Fuzzy for a fine job.

Okay guys, I used it this morning. Great brush. Made loads of lather with little effort using TOBS Eton College Cream. First impression, just a bit stiffer than the really broken in C&E BBB but I am sure that as I use it more it will get a bit softer. It held the lather really well. Got enough for 4 passes although I only did 3 plus a buff around the mouth and upper lip. The brush just a few mm longer than my C&E BBB but it works just fine and feels really nice in my hand. I think I like this slightly longer brush. The extra length I think comes from a slightly longer handle. Looks like this will replace my C&E BBB as my go to brush. Want to thank Fuzzy for a great job on the re-knot. You got me the knot that I suggested and made the brush dimensions just as I asked. Now if you would just listen to me and get rid of the Micro"Junko"matics! ;D The first pix is pre-bloom This second pix is after 1 use. Bloomed quite nicely.
