The older stuff won't turn into powder as easily as the new Williams does, maybe because of the higher tallow, so there's always a little that won't mix completely with the water. The soaplets will actually dissolve if they just set in a little water, which obviously is how they were formulated to work.
The idea of dehydrating the soap is interesting. I ran it through a food grinder and then let it set out in the open for several days but that didn't seem to completely remove the moisture.

Does the older stuff seem to outperform the newer when used like this? Well, I think the older stuff is better all around, but it won't all dissolve when I make the lather.It doesn't seem to affect the performance.
