Greetings Monday 11th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: PAL Injectormatic Blade: Schick Krona Edge 1960's Brush: Burma Shave Boar Soap: Wilkinson Sword Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Nivea Sensitive Balm A little 'tuggy' these old blades but they give a good result if less pleasant getting there. I don't know if they are carbon or stainless, I have discovered from an advert they were released in 1961 but I do not know for how long they were produced. Regards Dick.

Greetings
Tuesday 12th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: PAL Injecto-matic Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Soap: Tabac stick grated into a container Aftershave: Simple Balm
Ultra close shave, but one weeper, something I have not had for months, unquestionably caused by recklessness.
The Injecto-matic IMHO (like the Schick E types) is quite an aggressive razor which is easy to forget because it is so light maneuverable and easy to use. It needs to be treated with a little bit of care and attention.
Regards Dick.

Tuesday 2/12 Razor: Ever Ready 1914 Blade: GEM Stainless coated Brush: VDH Pure Badger Lather: Arko shave stick Post: Alum, Lucido, Unrefined Shea Butter Results: Mostly BBS. Nice to get back to one of my favorite SE razors. I love the audible feedback from the 1914 (though I do get a strange craving for buttered toast...)

Greetings Wednesday 13th February 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Schick J3 Golden 500 Blade: Personna Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Speick grated into a container Aftershave: Simple Balm My first use of this razor, It shaves just wonderfully, it is quite a mild and gentle razor but certainly produces a close shave and is ultra easy to use. I am unsure at the moment about the length of the handle, I am so used to short handles that it seems way too long it is one and a half inches longer than my Schick I1 whose handle I find plenty long enough but I am sure I could adapt. If I was forced to use this razor everyday I would consider shortening the handle. I do like the Hydromagic feature enabling you to rinse the blade whilst it is still in the razor. Regards Dick.

13 February 2013Razor: Schick E2 + Chinese Schick (8) Brush: WSP SuperFine Stubby Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser (30)AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol -- Test Bottle A
After talking with Marc (razorx) lately about Schick injectors I decided to bring out the E2 for some facetime today. I must admit that the E2 makes me think of a smaller version of the Cobra. While the Cobra makes me pay attention to where I'm driving and I really want to stay in my own lane; the E2 is super nimble and I just want to weave in and out of traffic and just have fun driving it. On another note, I'm now 30 full shaves into my pot of MdC and I'm just now seeing the soap dip down from the lip of the jar. I'm excited to see just how many shaves it takes to get to the bottom of this most popular size and presentation of MdC.

Jeff still bangin' out those Damaskeene shaves like clockwork !
Dick I'm wondering if you needed to use a bit more pressure with that "J" type to get as close a shave as what you're used to.... At least that's what I need to do with milder injectors, but the guard bar stretches the skin a bit more and it seems the whiskers get cut a little closer to the "root" (for lack of a better term)
Brian as you know I'm looking forward to my first "E" type test drive with the "E2" that's on the way.Bastard children of the razor world that they are, injectors are a good fit for the sharp angular features of my face and let me pay a little less attention.I'm still relatively new to these Shick's so finally having an "E" around will help me gain more perspective.
Today's shave was performed with: I2 Hydro-Magic Williams Shick Blade (lost count, going to shave till it dies) VDH Boar Krampert's KickAss BayRum
Easy Effortless XTG & ATG 2.5 pass BBS

Jeff still bangin' out those Damaskeene shaves like clockwork ! Oh yeah, the Dammy is my favorite, hands down! In my opinion, it's a mild shaver but one that is incredibly efficient.
