Over the course of acquiring SE razors I sometimes receive old unopened blades in the case with them. Now and then I've tried to use a few but they always seem to pull and tug so I came to the conclusion that they just dull over time. Recently I sent a cased FW to a member in GB. It had one unopened blade in it but at the time I wasn't sure if that would get by customs so I removed the blade and just sent the wrapper. I dropped the blade into a drawer and forgot about it. I noticed it again yesterday as I was picking out a blade to use. It looked real shiny so I thought I'd give it a try. Wow was I surprised! That blade was smoother and sharper than any I've used so far. I think the package was red and white labeled "GEM, Stainless Steel". The blade itself has GEM stamped into the spine and Stainless Steel printed on the bottom of the blade. Back then when there was money in it for the manufacturers so they put out some great blades. Wish I had a hundred of them.
Along the same line some of you may have read in my "How does it work" post that I picked up a K2 (yes, I know). It came with 2 mags of Schick Platinum Plus blades; one was opened the other wasn't. I knew these as great blades in my younger days so I popped one into that gold and white I1 that I recently got. Once again, WOW, just like I remember from years ago. The Chicks are good, but this are great! Also, since I had run out of Chicks I hadn't tried out the I1. That razor is everything you folks claimed. I'd have to say it's my favorite injector.
