15 April 2013Pre: Proraso Crema Pre BarbaRazor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (11) Brush: Elite7 Scarlett + WSP HMW 23/50 Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser (69)AS: Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum -- Hip Flask
So happy to use some of my favorite kit after a couple shaves in a hotel using my travel kit. Today should also be a great day as the mailman should not only be delivering the new Fougére MdC, but also my new WSP brushes.

Monday's Shave
HOT Shower-shampoo'ed & conditioned 2 days worth of whiskers Arko Shave Stick-bowl lathered with Omega 10029 Baby-Pro boar OCMM/Gem SS d6 Arko-Nem moisturizer/Old Spice AS
2 passes-WTG & XTG = BBS I always do some ATG strokes, or pass, or ATG buffing...always...today this OCMM gave me the best BBS with no ATG anything....Just 1WTG & 1 XTG passes...no touch-ups needed anything other than enjoying would be redundant....
Have a great week everybody!!

Now then. Having honed about 30 of these, I thought I'd just take a shortcut and use one that used to work 80 years ago. And it still works. All hail Swedish craftsmanship.

16 April 2013Pre: Proraso Crema Pre BarbaRazor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (12) Brush: Wet Shaving Products Stubby Superfine 26/52 Soap: Martin de Candre Fougère (1)AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol First use of the new Stubby Superfine WSP brush and the Fougére MdC. Both were simply superb. The new WSP Stubby gives me what I love about my Monarch SuperFine but with what I find to be the perfect amount of backbone. Definitely not a lather hog, but we all know how easily MdC loads and lathers. The Fougére scent is amazing. Martin de Candre certainly know how to make a great shave soap and amazing scents.

Tuesday's Shave
Arko SS/Omega 10029 GEM OCMM/GEM SS d7 Old Spice AS 2 pass perfection
This set-up gives me a shave as close as I could only get with my shavette, but in like 10 min.where the shavette would take a minimum of 30 or more... I mean, I like taking time and enjoying the process, but this set up is just so efficient...It just knocks a BBS out of the park in record time...I guess I could take the blade out and do a couple more passes....lol

Shavette style BBS but in 2 quick passes and no ATG anything...unbelievable!! and absolutely irritation free...I'm afraid most of my other razors might be looking for new residences...

17 April 2013
Shower: Tepid with MdC Fougère bath bar Pre: Proraso Crema Pre Barba Razor: Rhodium GEM OCMM + Pella PTFE (6) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- SuperFine Stubby Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser Fougère (2) AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol
I thought about using the new WSP boar this morning but I needed a quick shave so I went back to the SuperFine Stubby. It easily loaded enough MdC Fougère in 20s for 4+ passes, but I only used enough for 2.
