18 April 2013Shower: Tepid with MdC Fougère bath barPre: Proraso Crema Pre BarbaRazor: Cobra Classic + Feather Professional (13) Brush: Wet Shaving Products -- Boar 21/55 Soap: Martin de Candre - Savon À Raser Fougère (3)AS: Krampert's Finest Menthol
In honor of the select few who were able to order a Cobra yesterday I had another amazing shave with mine. Yes gents, you too will soon experience both the bite (hopefully not for long) and the efficiency of the Cobra. Once mastered though, it will tough to find anything that shaves better.
The WSP boar was amazingly soft after only 4 test lathers a couple days ago. Lee said that they come 75-90% broken in and from todays shave I can agree. I still need to dial in my actual use of a boar brush in my hard water, but despite my ineptitude I still received a great lather and fabulous shave.

Willkommen zuhause, Wotan!
A vintage Henckels Wotan lather catcher. More information in this German language thread: goo.gl/DHeAX. It currently has a Kampfe Bros NY blade, but original ones are on their way. This one works very well, though. Honed on a Coticule and finished with .5µm diamond spray on a Straight Razor Designs Lynn Abrams modular paddle with buffalo leather back side. Also in the picture, a 26mm Thäter two band with Esbjerg Sensitive shaving cream, and a Coticule too old to have a silly layer name.

Greetings Friday 19th April 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Valet Autostrop (English Model) Blade: Feather SE Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Klar Kabinett Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) My first shave with this recently acquired razor and it was a very nice shave indeed. This is according to my research the last model of Valet Autostrop razor made, it was manufactured between 1941 and 1946 and has a guard bar in place of the open comb which featured in all the other models. I guess this was in keeping with most of the DE razors of the period who were changing or had changed to guard bars. Valet gave this guard bar the grand name of a 'Streamline Runner-Guard'. Personally I felt it shaved just the same as the late model Valets with the open comb heads. A very nice razor, I would now just like to obtain one of the very early Autostrop razors 1906 ish before they were known as Valet. Regards Dick
