I think technically, this is a cologne. However, it can definitely be used as an aftershave as I have used it as such very recently. This is one of those things I happened upon in reading about shaving and it's history. I had never heard of it previous to 2 weeks ago. I love trying out things that were used by our past generations, so I though I would give it a spin. I ordered some of eBay for a cheap price. (I understand that there are some stores that carry this in some locations.) It arrived yesterday and I gave it a sniff. I really loved the scent of this product! Please don't ask me to describe it, as I am the worst at describing scents. It isn't an earth shaking scent that will totally have you questioning your other AS. It is however a very pleasant scent. I will be putting this in my rotation. I also understand that it is used by some people as a summertime cooling agent. Mixing it with water and applying it to the back of the neck and forehead. I could see that for sure. I have also heard that it is used in Voodoo/Hoodoo. It is supposed to keep evil spirits away and bring luck. Hey, I don't know about that, but it is a good scent. I highly recommend anyone wanting to try out a new pleasant scent to try this out.

Love the stuff. I use it a lot of times as a sleeping scent. I splash some on before going to bed. If you like the Florida Water try some 4711. You will like I bet.

I'll look for it. Great idea on using it as a sleeping scent. I will try that. It's light enough for something like that, and you get the bonus of keeping away bad spirits while you sleep.
(Disclaimer: Evil spirits part of my post is made in jest to Florida Water's alternate uses. The FDA has not tested this aspect of Florida Water as of this writing.)

What the heck is that Fuzzy? Something only a "wabbit" would use I guess. Now that you mention 4711 I have to say I like it. Have had a bottle of it for like 30 yrs or more. A Christmas gift from a friend of my dad to me. Never used it too much until I got back to traditional wet shaving. Nice flavor, uh, make that scent.

I am strange maybe but I like to put on a light scent before bed. A lime or more citrus scent works well for that. Florida water is a great relaxing scent.

It just so happens the wife likes it as well, so it's doubly beneficial.
