If you use a shave stick, be it one you've purchased or one you've made yourself, now is your opportunity to tell us of your experiences with it.

Greetings Monday 6th May 2013 (May Bank Holiday) Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic Clog-pruf Blade: GEM Stainless PTFE Coated Brush: Semogue OC Boar Soap: Speick Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) Super shave. I don't know if this is posted in the correct section or not as I always grate or press my shave sticks into a container, so I guess they may no longer be classed as sticks. In any event Speick is IMHO one of the very best shaving sticks made; possibly the best. Regards Dick.

Gem MMCP Gem SS/PFTE Blade (8) Made-Rite 500PB Brush Arko Shave Stick Mennen Skin Bracer AS
I'm back to posting my SOTD after a long hiatus due to medical issues followed by general "catching-up". I had a wonderful shave with the Clog Pruf today and my old standby, Arko.

Greetings Tuesday 7th May 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Ever Ready 1924 Shovelhead Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Semogue 620 Boar Soap: Tabac Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) Wonderful shave, Tabac is a fabulous performer providing you are happy with the scent (which I am) a 100 gram stick refill is £4.95 here in the UK which for such a great performer is a very good price. Regards Dick.

Greetings Wednesday 8th May 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Pushbutton Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Omega 10810 Boar Soap: Wilkinson Sword Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astral cream (light) A really close shave from a mild SE. The Wilkinson Sword sticks are superb just the opposite of the blue bowls which I feel are very poor. Regards Dick.

Greetings Thursday 8th May 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: GEM Micromatic Flying Wing Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Vulfix 404 Mixed Soap: La Toja Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) Ultra close and gentle shave from this razor, the last of the Micromatics. La Toja is an excellent shave stick and in Spanish supermarkets costs about one Euro, much harder to get here in the UK and over treble the price! Is availability in the US also poor? Regards Dick.

Greetings Friday 10th May 2013 Prep: Shower Razor: Gem Contour Blade: GEM Stainless Coated Brush: Vulfix 406 Boar Soap: Lea Stick grated into a container Aftershave: Astral Cream (light) A really nice shave. Lea is another (IMHO) shaving stick that performs way in excess of it's price tag, again like the La Toja stick, this, in it's country of origin is a stick costing less than one euro. Regards Dick.
