I love the Wall Cabinet models, and to find complete sets like those is outstanding. I wonder if those military sets where actually meant to be sold in the PX at military bases, instead of issued to soldiers.

I wonder if those military sets where actually meant to be sold in the PX at military bases, instead of issued to soldiers. With the price listed on the side, it is a good possibility. The wall cabinet caught my eye. The level of craftsmanship and pride in making an everyday article, is sorely lacking in today's throw away society. Am I correct in my assumption the Wall Cabinet model is a 1924 "Shovelhead"?

That's a shovel and what you said about the craftsmanship and pride was outstanding.

Thanks for the photos I believe the "Minute Man" set was Every-Ready's corporate brother Gem's product, but I am no expert. I wish I used my SLR for the pictures, but the batteries were depleted. Oh well, the Nikon point and shoot did a fair job.

I saw the patent for the cabinet set....the inventor was Joe Kaufman who invented the 1914 Little Lather Catcher....and he invented the cabinet thing with JB deMesquita's '1924 razor in mind as the safety razor counter-part..He applied for the pat in 1924 and received it in 1927...All of this was happening at Ever Ready...I don't think there was ever anything referred to as "Minute Man" at ER either...just sayin'....lol
