I need to pick up a cooling soap for summer, something with menthol or lime. For the most part my preferences run like HT's, I prefer the old vintage soaps when I can get them. I'm looking for something made today that comes close to the old stuff. Any suggestions?

I find menthol soaps make me quite hot in the summer time. I can't really use them as I start to react - kind of start sweating, turn red, burnnnnnning - no fun.
I tend to use a nicely scented rose cream or some such. Or simple like a VDH deluxe.
I have been tempted to try the Trumper Lime soap as it might be nice in summer.

Try Prairie Creations Walters Soap in lime, it's her version of Vintage Williams.

Hmmm.....I was thinking about trying out her Williams versions a while back. I think I might just do it later today.
Thanks for reminding me.

+1 on the Proraso green. Finish it off with a splash of Osage Rub. You'll be loving life!

If you want a cooling soap/croap then you have to try Vostok. There is nothing colder. It's an incredible feeling and a great shave!

Thanks William, I'll check it out now to see where to find it. It's a QCS. You won't regret trying it. It's the coldest croap you can get, in my opinion. Just a great product!

Valobra makes a nice menthol soap if you want to try something different.
