Since my Ted Pellas blades arrived this afternoon, tonight was my maiden voyage. Needless to say, my shave went much better than I had hoped. The Gem HFT is one fantastic razor. Also, finding the angle to hold the razor was much better than expected. The first pass was equal to my two pass shave on a DE. The only areas I struggle with were under my nose and my jaw line. Otherwise I am one happy camper with no irritation. Thank you everyone for your encouragement.

Sounds good, those are nice smooth shaving razors. You can get away with using a steeper angle beneath the nose and be ok.

Excellent. And every SE razor you'll pick up from now on will be just as intuitive to find the right angle as long as they have sound effects.

Very cool...congratulations, that HFT is a great shaver....I usually just hold my nose up like I do when using a Str8 and make the stroke N-S as normal... Makes me think, Gem never made a bad shaver, they are all great from what I can see....
