I think there's at least one fan of Klar Kabinett on this forum. For those who don't know, it's fairly inexpensive Rose scented shave soap. It's sold as a huge paper wrapped, what looks like a huge bar of soap. But when it's unwrapped it's seen to be 2 250 gram bars, 500 grams or 1.1 pounds of soap in total. It's alot of soap for not much $. It's also very good and IMO very underpriced for what one gets. The performance is outstanding if you like Rose. Let it age a bit and IMO it gets even better as the scent fades a bit. Lees Razors is presently running a Fathers Day sale. Use "Dad2013" as a price code and get 15% off. Here's the link to the Klar Kabinett: Klar KabinettBullgoose also has it. BTW, I get no kickback from Lees Razors by posting this or from his sales, but he does carry my Bay Rum. Same goes for Bullgoose.

I've never tried that, but I am a fan of an occasional rosé scent in my shave. I will have to look out for that. I hate to hear its going away. Thank you for the heads up!

I have so many shaving soaps that one of the soaps I was definitley going to try in the future was Klar Kabinett. What a shame! First it was Irisch Moos and now Klar Kabinett.

It hasn't disappeared yet drumz. But yours will if you don't buy it now. I actually think it's better after it has aged for a time.

If you want to try it get some now while you can. I agree with Brian, for me it is better after it has aged. Up until about a year or so ago I loved rose scents. Then for some reason it lost it's appeal to me. I had ordered some Klar and when I got it was overpowered by the scent. I broke one of the bricks in half, sent one piece to Fuzzy and tried the other. I loved the way it worked but the scent was too much, so I threw that piece out. I double bagged the other brick and stuck it in a drawer. I was going through my stuff last week and found it. I remember that some time ago Brian had said that he was going to leave his to age for a while in the hopes that the scent would calm down. Well, I opened the bag and sure enough most of the scent was gone, no longer overpowering. At that point I should have piffed it but decided to grate it and re-try it. Works great and you can just barely smell the rose, but I probably won't use it much.

Alan I did a review of it on another forum, and I was so turned off by the extremely strong scent I almost couldn't use it. But a stitch in time saves nine, so I bit the bullet, took one for the team, and completed my mission. :-)
Anyway I figured I got some that had recently been manufactured. That happened with a brick of Cella I got also. It was just disgustingly strong. I guess I just draw these fresh soaps like a magnet. Time cured that scent also.

Yes, when I got the Klar it was so strong I had to double bag it and stick it in a drawer I rarely open or it would fill the whole bathroom with the scent.
