Over the years, I have accumulated a great many razors and soaps. I try to keep as many in the rotation as I can; but of late, I have gravitated toward four razors and four soaps.
Razors: Gem Cutlery Damaskeene, Schick J3, Gem Jr. 1912 and an open comb from a "nameless" company. Soaps: Derby shaving stick, Cella, Arko and Palmolive shaving stick.
Any combination of soaps and razors from the above give me consistent comfortable shaves. Of course, aftershaves are another issue. I can't seem to have enough of them. Yes, I have a lot of acquisition disorders.
Ok gents, please chime in. How many do you have in your rotation?

Brushes: 26; 12 boar, 8 badgers, 5 synthetics, 1 hybrid boar/badger Razors: 20 razors, 6 unmentionables, 14 SE Soaps, creams, croaps: Hard soaps (includes sticks milled into a tub) 26, croaps 7 (2 are experimental homemade), creams 13 Aftershaves: 2, Kramperts Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum and Frostbite. Once every other year or so I'll splash on a few drops of Shulton Old Spice, but that happens less and less anymore. For the past 6+ months I've been trying to get a handle on exactly how much soap I have (years worth) and I've been concentrating on using up some of my lesser soaps (4). The others have largely gone unused, but on Sunday I allow myself to choose any soap, croap, cream. The past week I've been testing 2 homemade soaps, made by others and sent to me. That's tough duty... taking a break from the lesser soaps and using some really exceptional croaps. Not taken today, but it's the latest pic of the interior of my shave cabinet. OK, this also shows the overflow storage up top. Up top on the right, cases and what not, on the left from bottom to top, the boneyard, mothballed razors, and then soaps.

I only have 5 DE razors even though I have been wet shaving for 23 years. I've been using SE razors for only a month and incredibly I have more of these which is a total of 9.
Soaps are plenty and I have them scattered around in many places and total about 11.
Definite rotation would be only 2 DE's. SE rotation would be Gem 1912 & OCMM. Soaps would be Provence Sante Green Tea soap & VDH Deluxe.

SD, that is quite the collection. I really like the razor stands. If I may be so bold as to ask where you obtained them? I am about to make a razor display out of Brazillian cherry, jatoba, and the stands would help solve a problem of showing the razors.
Drumz, I have a few DEs, but I have gone overboard with SE razors in a short time. But my aftershave addiction is unreal. I have several high dollar ones that rarely see any usage. I generally gravitate to older barber shop scents, which are generally bargain priced. My wife loves those scents a whole lot more, so I use them more. At this point, I like to give a nod to Brian's Bay Rum. If you have a chance, pick some up. It is a fantastic old time fragrance, which is usually the first AS I grab.

Papabear, I am just getting over an SE addiction (at this point I just about have every SE model out there). Before this I had an aftershave craze that lead me to buy even doubles of what I already had. Similar to you I strictly wanted classic barber shop scents and the good thing was that most were dirt cheap. My only bay rum is from Ogallala. I've never tried the Krampfert's stuff thanks for the heads up.

Rich, the stands are homemade. I had some delrin rod, so I used a centerfinder and just drilled proper sized holes for the handles. If you have a lathe you can do a better job than I did.
It can't really be seen, but there's a Featherweight standing on it's head against the rear wall because that type stand just won't work for the FW handle.

Over the past couple of months, I have bought, tried, and given away (or, in three cases, sold) a number of SE razors. The three that are staying are a Henckels Wotan (still missing a matching blade, but I will find one eventually, I am sure), a Heljestrand 7-day set, and an OCMM with Teflon coated blades. Those are the only ones that came close to the closeness of a shave with a cut-throat. The rest were moderately disappointing (the Bullet Tip being the worst, really), or simply worse than the OCMM. In terms of soaps and creams, there are only three in my rotation (which is more erratic than circular). Green Mountain Soap, and Scottish Fine Soaps shaving soaps, and Esbjerg shaving cream. There is a certain novelty factor to them, but they will remain part of my extended rotation based on performance, with Esbjerg being my favourite product of the three.

Drumz,
The Krampert's Finest is my favorite after shave HANDS DOWN! I've tried lots, some of them quite expensive. And when I have a great shave and want the cherry on top, it's nothing but Krampert's for me. I highly recommend you try some. If you're lucky he'll have some left in the super cool whiskey flask bottle. Now that makes any shave den, as far as I'm concerned.

John, have you tried the Frostbite yet? It's a completely different (from Acadian Spice) and very transitory scent. It's gone in 30 minutes thereabouts, but it's all about the skin effect. Google it for the reviews (Kramperts Finest Frostbite).
It's not on my website since I'm supporting the retailers by letting them have the action, but Italian Barber has it, and West Coast Shaving has it, but I don't know if it's shown on the WCS site yet. IB can't keep it in stock and I've sent him A LOT of it. Maybe in August I'll ask my webmaster to list it on my site. After the initial rush subsides a bit.
PM me your address and I'll send you a sample. Since you shave your head I'd like to know how it feels up there. :-) A whole head freeze! That'd be nuts!

I don't know what's going on with me,might have something to do with it being summertime.I've brought even further into minimalism since my post earlier in this thread I cleared a couple of shelves in my bathroom off & boxed up all my shaving paraphernalia except for a tube of Cremo Cream,EverSharp/Shick Hydro-Magic, Krampert's Bay Rum & Pinaud aftershave.
Strange I know, especially with the tempting lineup of razors etc I have, but going to keep it simple for a while and see how it goes.

All to often as a people we are never content with all we have. We are constantly trying to fill a void with stuff and still feel empty. Good luck RazorX, I am pulling for you.

I tend to stay with one injector razor for a month, and use one soap & one cream until they're done. Currently it's a Schick J1, a Puck of Burma Shave and the bottom of my discontinued AOS Rose Cream, maybe another 5-8 shaves left in the tub.
Brushes are a different story, I'm down to 10 and use a different one everyday.
