Today I won on auction on "the Bay", a 12 razor lot for $44.00 including shipping Most look well used and in need of a good cleaning, but I like doing that sort of thing. Really hoping the Schick Adjustable cleans up and is in working order, I have never tried one of those and have been keeping my eye open for an affordable one. The Gem 1912 is a "Made in England" aluminum handle model..the handle looks a bit iffy The long handle Schick will be a new model for me also and the "G" model should be salvageable. There is also a Kriss Kross SE, but that will probably be unusable as I believe they take special blades. There is a couple of nice unmentionable razors in the lot too, the slim adjustable appears to be in good shape and the smooth ball, solid handle Canadian old type is the main reason I bought this lot.
These are auction pics, will post more pics when they arrive

I've gotten some incredible buys by biiding on razor lots just like that.
I bet you'll be surprised (or maybe not) as to how some of those will clean up. Please let us know.

Greetings
That's an interesting haul, especially the Kriss Kross. I did not realise they took a proprietary blade. I have just read an article on B&B where using an injector blade is discussed but the Kriss Kross model in question there seems quite different from yours. It's a damn shame if you can't find a way of shaving with it, it looks like it has the potential to clean up really well.
Regards Dick.

Received the lot of razors and have been cleaning them up. Very pleased with the condition and how they cleaned up. Here they are when they arrived.. And the lot after a cleaning The "G" model Schick is interesting, it is a Canadian version with a "G" model handle with a seam and an "E" model head. Cleaned.. With the "M2" Adjustable and the long handle "J2" The head of the British Gem 1912 model cleaned up nicely, but the aluminum handle has some serious corrosion issues I'm not really a big fan of the aluminum handle on the 1912, so I will probably swap it out for something else I seemed to have forgotten to take an "after" pic of the cleaned up Kriss Kross, but here is a "before" pic Pretty good score for the money, the "unmentionables" turned out nice, really happy with the smooth ball open old type and the other adjustable cleaned up like new!

All very nice. A fun assortment for a very good price. The Schick adjustable is an absolute beauty.

I've always been surprised with the before and after cleaning of old lots of razors. I can't tell you how many I received and thought would never amount to anything, yet they clean up just fine.
